Had a couple of very distressing episodes in ward 18, one was mum needed the commode 1 night and after i kept on calling for assistance i was told by one auxiliary named 'Allison' we have other patients to deal with other than your mum you know. OK yes i understood that and even after they had dealt with the patient and passed by our room it was left to myself to put lots of paper towels underneath my mum so she could do her business without soiling both her gown and chair as mum was then immobile. Another 15-20 minutes passed and by this time i had cleaned all of the mess up myself, 15 minutes later they came with the commode but it was unneeded after a near 45 minute wait @ 22.50. Luckily i was there for my mum that night as i did always go in every evening just to spend time with her alone for hours on end right up until she passed in Spring 2018, some staff were nice and pleasant but some not so and i dont understand why they're in a job like this with attitudes as such! I came across this on my older mobile as was perusing through it, the audio is crystal clear and there is around 20+ minutes of video footage of this incident and the rest is just sound, so if anyone wishes to advise me on what should i do with this 48 minute long insight into unhelpful with rather rude staff whose job is to care for patients not just ignoring their needs certainly on this occasion, then inform me what is my best option or tell me if im being oversensitive as it's my mum thanks.

This is the worst hospital I have ever experienced. My husband was completely traumatised when he was discharged and he refused to be re-admitted so was treated at a local hospital. Most of the staff in all the departments we came in to contact with were aggressive and unpleasant. The pancreatic cancer liaison nurse was appalling. The place was dirty, there were not enough blankets, my husband lay on a wet pillow, the food was awful and sometimes non existent. Lifts did not work and nursing care was really neglectful. When I complained they threw the complaint in the bin.

A big thank you to the staff of Ward 6 for the care and compassion they showed my 90 year old father during his recent stay there (Sep 18). A big thumbs up from us both.

Public parking facilities are a joke at this hospital all areas filled to the brim with cars and park and pays having to park almost at the flats to be able to come help a friend pick up thier new born baby and having to walk that distance to get to the car is an absolute joke please avoid and go to another hospital with sufficient parking facilities for everyone.

Staffs were friendly and experienced in general albeit the slightly long waiting time.

Initially it was impossible to get through on the phone and had lots of being on hold. I complained and got a good and quick response. Was very frustrating and stressful at the start but as soon as treatment started we’ve had an amazing experience. Staff have been compassionate and professional and we’ve had no delays or issues. They made a difficult experience into a really positive one. Thank you to the wonderful staff at ACU.

It's impossible to get through on the telephone. I spent hours and hours on hold. I had problems with the finance team who never responded to requests and I constantly had to chase them. The poor administration made the treatment far more stressful and I would not be able to recommend the ACU due to the poor levels of customer care.

They don't answer the phone. They don't answer emails. They don't even seem to know what services cost and what is/not included. Generally avoid.

so far not so good at all. You can never get to speak to anyone, if you email you get a generic reply back which mayas well be an out of office. Mistakes and communication issues from the very beginning NOT a good service

Awful experience with Dr White, it’s been stressful and upsetting. She’s not professional at all! Failed to demonstrate professional care and empathy with patients. Do consider other places or someone else if you want to have a proper go at your treatment.

When i had my cystoscopy over a year ago, I waited for 7 hours before i could be discharged from the ward. There was a total lack management and organisation. My follow up appointment was arranged for 6 months later. I never saw the consultant who had performed the procedure. I saw different doctors each time i had an appointment. This policy results in your treatment being inconsistent as the doctors have no time to acquaint themselves with your condition. Now they cancelled my appointment just 2 days before it was due and after they bombarded me with reminders to attend. I would not recommend this hospital.

Unfortunately there orthodontic service is poor, as I should have been offered jaw surgery, as well as braces to properly correct the bite!

Very clean and well managed hospital with some very friendly nurses, doctors and administrators. Although this isn’t a local hospital for us, it is always a pleasure as the staff are so nice and helpful.

Hullo Hullo Hullo. Since September 2017 I have been a most frequent visitor to the Dimblebey Centre at Guys Hospital. This has been due to a most serious illness. But I would like to state the following : The staff are wonderful, the food is Very good, and the building is cool. If you are gonna suffer a life threatening illness, I couldn't recommend a better place. Seriously!

Took my partner to a&e as she had some sort of bug and due to other gealth issues she needed checked . The attitude of nurse who did the initial assesment left a lot to be desired and when she was finally transferred to a ward she waited over 6 hours for something for her headache and most of the night shift nurses where rude and abrupt. Its not the first time i have taken a family member to this hospital and each time the attitudes of nurses gets worse, there are some who are really nice but they are few and far between.

Well my girlfriend went into labour the midwife who delivered her was excellent it was after she was born feels more like a prison than a hospital staff are rude as anything when visiting hours came around our families came and they wouldn't let them in 2 minutes before visiting time the RVI isn't far away and is a much better hospital hopefully won't be returning to the QE anytime soon

Sat patiently for 2.5hrs without being acknowledged by triage, politely questioned my waiting time at reception, only to be informed they had called my name previously (not sure how I'd missed it, as I didn't leave the room out of respect for the queue system) and was now facing a further 5hr wait. I relayed my frustration to the receptionist that checked me in, was offered no form of apology, and in the end left with my partner in tears, notably upset and in acute pain. To top it off, I diligently payed my parking toll only to find the exit barrier had been left up. As a pharmacist within the NHS, I have never been so disappointed in the institute I have dedicated so many years of my life serving.
