With a new baby on the way, you’re likely to have about a million things on your mind. So with the wide range of buggies, prams, travel systems and strollers on the market – how do you even begin to decide what’s best for your lifestyle?

Private Pregnancy UK searched high and low to find the very best pram that can grow with your family but still be an excellent value for money. The UPPAbaby Vista came in with top marks.

Pushchair

Price: £629.99

What we liked
This travel system pushchair is suitable for children up to 22kg, but parents will be pleased to know this versatile product can conveniently be used from birth with its Vista Carrycot (included in the system).

Carrycot

The sleekly designed system was a favourite with our testing panel thanks to its manoeuvrability and large storage offerings. The ease of handling on all surfaces is unparalleled, thanks to only a light effort required to steer combined with an effective brake system. Adjustable handlebars make this comfortable for both Mum and Dad, and many on the panel said that the ability to push with just one hand was a great bonus.

Additionally, the model benefits from a reversible seat, allowing baby to face in the direction of you, or of travel. Perhaps one of it’s best features is the compatibility of design. While the stroller weighs in at just under 12kg, it manages to fold down to surprisingly convenient size (38x101x63.5cm), making it compact enough to fit in a car boot without removing the parcel shelf.

What we didn’t like
Some users found the recline option a bit tricky, mentioning that the operating mechanism was too high on the hood, however they didn’t feel it detracted from the overall practicality of the pushchair. And while this perhaps isn’t the absolute best option for public transport due to it’s wide design, it was still able to tackle both buses and escalators with ease. Some users also mentioned that the folding mechanism required some getting used to but were more than pleased with the fact that it remains standing while folded.

Reviews from Kiddicare

“Worth the investment” by Big D from London

This was our first pushchair and upon hearing the price, it did give me pause to think, but these are the reasons why we went ahead with it and haven’t looked back since. Pros – Great for long walks because its durable – Can easily use around town – Folds down quite quickly – It is heavier than other prams but the weight is well distributed so it doesn’t feel like it is heavy – Some suspension to prevent damage – Can stay standing when folded – Very useful extras Cons (No major cons, just minor irks) – Fairly wide so it will be awkward in thin corridors or small pavements – The wheels do jut out a bit when folded and left in the standing position – Folds down quickly once you’ve got the knack

“Brilliant !!!” by MrsA5 from North Yorkshire

Being a first time mum and a cautious one at that I spent months researching my pram before actually purchasing it. And I am so glad I did. This has everything and does everything it’s as simple as that. It’s rather large but I have a huge boot so no problems there. It can be steered with one hand and the motion is smooth and swift. Stupidly easy system to change about and put up and down. And when put down it stands up itself so no need to lean it against anything. It comes with built in sunshade, a raincover and a bug net for both the carry cot and the seat. Adjustable handlebars which are perfect for both me who us short and my husband who is tall. I simply can’t praise it enough its just miles better than any if the 15+ other pram/travel systems I tried out and researched.

Conclusion
Overall, the UPPAbaby Vista is known for it’s impressively comfortable ride featuring front and rear spring suspension, rain cover, a window in the hood, removable washable covers as well as an insect net. Additionally our panel loved the extra large storage basket.

Practicality, style, safety, and value for money make UPPAbaby Vista a ‘Best Buy’ as far as we’re concerned. Now we only have 999,999 more things to think about!
