The Cromwell paediatrics outpatients is one of the few places in London that routinely circumcises newborn boys. If you have a baby boy and you want to have him circumcised, I would recommend this place to anyone. Following the recommendation of some close friends who had their boy done, I had my son circumcised here in an outpatient appointment. Despite feeling nervous for him I felt he was in safe hands and my son did not appear to be in any pain. Now that it has healed, it looks great and I'm pleased we got it done for my son.

Please AVOID coming here with your baby to Dr Anne Buk-Serero. We brought here our baby a couple of times, and even if she was ok and all the blood tests were correct, she gave us 5 prescriptions each time! By ‘coincidence’ always something that was being advertised in capital letters in every pharmacy…. It is the clear example of a Dr who is ‘commission focused’, just trying to get a much benefit as possible with medicaments, instead of trying to cure a baby… deplorable. Absolutely not what you expect when you go with your baby to a private Dr.

I went to Bupa Cromwell via my private healthcare insurance and, as a summary, the doctors just ran plenty of expensive tests and found nothing. Later on, when my Outstanding patient allowance overpassed the limit, I went to NHS and found my issue with a very basic test that no one had told me to do in this hospital (even the NHS doctor said that all the tests i had done were ridiculous). I found everything very unprofessional.

Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital is certainly one of the best hospitals in the world. They ALWAYS put the child first and look after the whole family when you are there. They always listen to the parents and provide a world class medical service. They have to look after some of the worlds most poorly children, which other hospitals could not as GOSH have the expertise and knowledge to do the best possible. Thank you for what you and your great staff do on a daily basis.

Arguably one of, if not, the best childrens' hospitals in the world. My son has had open heart surgery here 3 times. If it wasn't for GOSH and their amazing care, he wouldn't be running around now, as an energetic 5 yr old, winning races in his school sports day. The doctors and nurses are outstanding, helping us when he was operated on as a baby and again, providing the best support for my son when he underwent surgery again last year. He found it very scary and traumatic and the staff there were excellent with him. Thank you GOSH for all that you do for our poorly children. There will always be a rare few that you can't save, but the millions that have been saved, because of your excellent care, are a testament to your ethos. The Child First and Always - we know you ALWAYS put our son first. My family will always be grateful to you, no matter what. Thank you and bless you all.

Great Ormond Street is one of the BEST hospitals in the world. They are experts at many conditions. They help the children there to get better and stop them from feeling upset about being there. They have a hospital school for patients who will miss a few days or more of school. The staff are very kind and the way they teach makes school likeable. The PE teachers let the children play sitting down Volleyball and are very comic so children start to like the subjects.

A wonderful place. My son has only a tiny piece of kidney tissue and a rare genetic syndrome and GOSH have provided no end of care and treatment and he is doing so well. After we were rushed to GOSH when my son was born they even used a spare childs bed so I could lay flat after the surgery and made sure I was taken care of too being so far from home. Cannot fault them.

Chiming in with strong support for GOSH in the face of the ongoing media storm surrounding Charlie Gard. Unlike many of the negative reviews of an entire hospital and its staff over the care of one child, made by non-medical professionals mentioning ‘gods will’, I was actually a patient at GOSH when I was younger due to some complications with my ankle at birth. Through several corrective operations and their expert care, I’ve been able to grow up with full use of my legs in a case where others have not been so fortunate as me. If it weren’t for GOSH and their care, I might have grown up unable to live the life a person does – unable to naturally take part in sports at school etc. So here I am, giving GOSH a glowing review and my life-long thanks for their successful efforts to help me when I was younger. To those leaving poor reviews because of a news story… have a good long think about the impact of your campaign. Damage this hospital’s ability to function and it’s children you’re hurting the most. Is that what you really want?

I can not imagine what Charlie's parents are going through at this time. The doctors and nurses and support staff caring for him are the best in the world. As an expat paediatrician, living in the US, I am truly embarrassed that the US and the Vatican are giving this family such false hope.

Even though the maternity services where good enough the birth experience was the worst it can be. We were going for normal birth, dilated up to 6cm and the, apparently most stupid midwife in the world for 8 hours was saying "stop pushing baby, just breath your oxygen". We were asking for epidural to be done as soon as possible but no, they had their own plans. After already in contractions for 5 hours they decide to come in; being in unbelievable pain it takes around 30 minutes to get my wife ready and then their beeper beeps for an emergency and they leave us for another 3 hours waiting in total pain and the midwife saying every 3 minutes "don't push baby...". They finally changed shifts at 9am (we were there since 5pm) and the new ones decided that we go for emergency c-section. We just wanted the nightmare to finish. Just to mention the waters broke at 10pm so open for infections for 11 hours. The theater (surgery) was nothing like expected. Around 8 people around coming and leaving while my wife's internals where wide open. The door was opening every minute and someone new was coming or leaving and of course old school non-dissolvable sutures with needle. Even though everything seemed that went good enough we stayed in for 5 more days. No one came to check the baby for 3 whole days; gave pills and checks to my wife but no check on the baby. So our little one got a fever of 39 and only then they decided, after we ask them, to call for a doctor. The doctor said that we need to give antibiotics to the baby just in case it had sepsis. It seems that the baby was trying to breastfeed for 3 days and mother didn't had milk yet so sucking for so long made him sick. At the moment we fed him by bottle the fever dropped to normal but they kept giving to this little baby 3 more doses of antibiotics even though we asked not to. 9am of the 5th day they say we will get discharged so we asked to remove the needle from baby's hand. They are so slow that I went to ask again at 2:30pm to do that but the midwife was in lunch brake. A good lady finally came at 4:30. Of course it didn't end there. After we went back home we were told to expect a midwife the next day to remove the stitches. It appears the email left the hospital the next day (Saturday at 10:30am) so no one knew about our discharge and no one came. After many calls they decided to come on Sunday. To conclude. "Worst Birth Experience Ever". We went there after reading good reviews but something has changed and the management need to take real actions like discharge themselves. Personnel also needs better recruitment process.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible I gave birth to my first child here. I had a very bad experience with my antenatal appointments: Several times they lost my blood results, very bad treat from some midwifes, but birth experience was a nightmare! The toilets in the ante natal room where I had to stay for 2 days due to there were no beds available, the toilets there were disgusting and with blood everywhere. But the worse was yet to come when after 15 hours labour, the doctor came to tell us that the midwife had calibrated wrong the heart machine and my baby's heartbeat was not recognized! My tear got infected and I think part was due to the poor hygienic conditions... They are overloaded and they treat you like chicken in a production line!

So far I am very impressed with the service in this hospital. Was waiting for about 6 weeks a letter from St Thomas and never arrived so decided to subscribe to have my baby at Queen's charlottes as recommended by my private midwife. Less than a week later had all my appointment letters for the following week. Today I had my first scan and the lady was so friendly, I felt as well treated as in a private scan I did previously. The lady took her time and was very helpful. The reception staff were so helpful too, they accommodated my requests about timing to take blood as I was late for a meeting and the lady that took my blood was so amazing that I didn't feel a thing. Thank you dear team, I feel very reassured so far to have my baby there.

Dr Daniela Peeva has wrongly administered the BCG vaccine on the baby's shoulder instead of the upper outer left part of arm. She failed to show due care diligence towards her patient & didn't explain where she intended to place the injection. When I complained she called us with a very inappropriate tone of voice and threatened us. Very unprofessional and I am pursuing the matters with GMC to further escalate her unprofessionalism, lack of care & lack of competence as a paediatrian. Visited in July 2017. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Sebastian Winkler was extremely thorough in his approach and was able to quickly identify the issue and recommend a course of action to remedy. I was impressed that he took the time to clearly provide a logical explanation of how his diagnosis stacked up with the manifestation of the symptoms. Dr. Sebastian Renz has been absolutely super in dealing with a recent issue. He took the time out to follow up in person to confirm that the suggested course of treatment was addressing the issue. Impressive.

One night, I collapsed in the bathroom with horrible abdominal pains. I had been having problems like it for years. I lived in the states at the time, so I couldn't afford healthcare at the time. Turns I, I had been living with horrible pancreatitis and gallbladder issues for years. An ambulance took me here. I spent a four night stay, taking medical tests, watching movies in bed, finally learning to drink coffee... and the whole thing cost me 10 GBP tops. And it was just because I wanted 3-day access to the TV and movie selections. Really glad I got the problems sorted. Hospital stays of any sort are rarely 'pleasant' but I think the staff here made it as easy and comfortable as they could.

Yesterday was there, my appointment was 3 o clock, 4.15 no one still didn't call my name, was in reception 2 times, both times they was rude, young women and young man, they did not help me at all, could go to the doctors and ask, why I'm waiting so long long, but they rather was sitting, talking very loud, laughing and speaking in bad language, I didn't even met a doctor, I just left, because felt so bad treated. Never again will use this place.

During my recent visit from Canada to Brighton, I started feeling great discomfort and pain. On Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 9:30pm I arrived at the RSCH A&E, accompanied by my daughter who lives in Kemptown, with severe symptoms of a UTI. Within four hours' time, I found myself leaving your A&E after an ultrasound and an IV of antibiotics, equipped with a week's supply of antibiotics, to see me safely home to Canada. I would like to express my heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the nurses and to the doctors who treated me with great empathy and professionalism. Your work is to be acknowledged and commended. Very busy a and e ,NO BEDS...but the staff were very professional and done loads of tests and ct scan ,loads of bloods taken,and would recommend you use this hospital if ever in pain or injuries,I had head injuries and was scanned and even other parts that are damaged were x rayed and apart from being very busy the staff were very concerned and waiting for results now... gave me high pain killers no trouble asking for pain relief and was their for 12 hours and only because no beds were available I got let out at 2am taxi cost £25.00! And trusted me to go to cash machine to get the bill for taking me back to Newhaven....much better hospital than Eastbourne.....so pick and choose Brighton hospital.

£65 Million pounds on a new building but lots more room for Spire to improve needed! In the words of the nurse, the size of the day case rooms is ridiculously small and while the new hospital boasts more wards than its predecessor in Whalley Range, there are apparently no more staff! My son's experience and care was OK, but nurse quality varied and the ward was very quiet, so who knows once busy. One negative was the nursing staff had little knowledge of what to do with the sling he was put in following a shoulder operation and left this to the physio, who was very quick, quick, quick and rushed us through how to adjust or remove the sling and do exercises. So much so that my son is now in fear of doing the exercises until he sees his own physio. Inadequate pain relief (just paracetamol and codeine) given on discharge which I queried and was assured correct. Consultant's nurse has today confirmed I was right and my son who should have been given Tramadol or Oremorf is suffering unnecessarily while we await prescription from doctor. Also the food was poor. Couldn't work out if the bread in my egg sandwich was stale or had been badly defrosted in a microwave. Certainly for a private hospital the standard of catering and choices were poor. This hospital feels like a brand new 3 star, rather than 5 star establishment, which probably reflects the need of the private health sector to reduce costs.

Booked an appointment here to get my regular 3 monthly b12 which I have been having for the last 10 years , was assured by reception this would be done Upon booking . My appointment was for 4:20pm waited 20 min over time . The female doctor I can't recall her name blonde hair middle aged greeted me with the most condescending unfriendly attitude I have ever come across . She had the injection on her desk ready to give me it then said it was past it's sell by date . Then point blank refused to do my injection without blood tests , I explained I have chronic fatigue and the injections help me dramatically and if I wanted this hassle I would go to my own gp for tests which would not come back deficient any way as I have been having the regular injections. Horrible experience, ... Spoke to Sally who was apparently in charge who sided with the doctor and was also condescending. Never again ! Will stick with gp plus who are polite and professional. And for your information you can not overdose on B12! It is not dangerous to give too much do you homework before you talk down to your patients .

I've had my daughter and son born here, and each time, baby and I were well looked after. I am grateful for all the help I received. I would have given 5 stars, but deduct one only because I was told that the hospital doesn't do neonatal circumcision for those that request it. (Turns out that if you have a baby boy, you CAN have him circumcised in the private outpatients wing. I would like to have known at the time, as I ended up going elsewhere to have this done for my son.)

Been in twice for bumps and breaks and seen within 2 hours both times. All brand new and clean. Staff as always in the NHS excellent. Better than George's or St Thomas' for wait times and have everything they do. I'd travel the extra 10 mins or so for a walk in to A&E. My niece was born here and that was also (apparently!) Excellent.. Pharmacy opposite and plenty of food options in the area if your in for a wait. Underground parking also on site, albeit expensive as you'd expect for a central London parking location.

I had both my boys circumcised here as newborns (for health and hygiene reasons). Each time I have been very happy with how it was handled from start to finish. For my boys it appeared to be virtually pain free, and in each case, they healed within a week. It's been much easier to keep them clean now that there is no foreskin there, and the result looks comfortable for both of them. I would readily recommend this place if you are expecting a baby boy and plan on having him circumcised.

Rude staff! Bad customer service! Unhelpful! Especially when you're not there for fun! Had to make a complaint twice, and both times the duty manager didn't even bother to come back to me apologise or anything! I was left a voicemail from the accounts department with screaming and swearing in the background clearly another unhappy customer! I will avoid the Portland if possible! I will most certainly do my best to avoid the Portland hospital they need to train their staff starting with the duty manager!

I can't be thankful enough to have had both my children at the portland hospital! The midwives were always by my side and no matter what I needed they did their best to help the pain after my c section! I also am very happy to have met an excellent obstrician Mr Etienne Horner who stood by me every minute and came to visit me every day to see how I was!

I can't say enough good things about the Portland. Having just returned from a three night stay for my wife to give birth to our baby son - there is no better place I'm aware of that you could go to. The staff work tirelessly to create a safe haven for you to start your new family life together. The midwives are second to none - no question too big or too small for them to deal with; and the care, attention and advice my wife received was amazing. Clearly a lot of stress is placed on a woman's body in childbirth, and the professionalism with which they dealt with potentially embarrassing issues was outstanding. Simply, the amount of effort every single person we dealt with put in to ensuring my wife and baby were healthy, comfortable and had everything they need will not be something that we forget. Rather than the first day of our baby's life being stressful and "an ordeal" - he entered the world to mum and dad relaxed and ready to take on the challenge, and whilst incredibly nerve-wracking, will be something that we remember fondly. Quite possibly the only "downside", if it could be considered that, is that if we're lucky enough to have another child we plan to go to the Portland again as now nowhere else could possibly match it!

I had both my boys circumcised here as newborns (for health and hygiene reasons). Each time I have been very happy with how it was handled from start to finish. For my boys it appeared to be virtually pain free, and in each case, they healed within a week. It's been much easier to keep them clean now that there is no foreskin there, and the result looks comfortable for both of them. I would readily recommend this place if you are expecting a baby boy and plan on having him circumcised.

Rude staff! Bad customer service! Unhelpful! Especially when you're not there for fun! Had to make a complaint twice, and both times the duty manager didn't even bother to come back to me apologise or anything! I was left a voicemail from the accounts department with screaming and swearing in the background clearly another unhappy customer! I will avoid the Portland if possible! I will most certainly do my best to avoid the Portland hospital they need to train their staff starting with the duty manager!

This, although sounds odd, was my best experience on an Emergency Department. When I arrived, I was visibly distressed. The lady who was on reception was lovely and immediately got the Sister on duty who ushered me to a room so I could have some privacy. The Psych Liaison was brilliant and got me a bed on a ward really quickly. My experience on Evan Jones ward was just as positive.

St Thomas day assessment unit: take some food and water with. I am waiting here since more than 2 1/2 hours. Asked at the reception how long it will still take. Maybe 1 or two or three hours. They don't know. Oh so what are you doing there behind your counter if you don't even have a plan what's going on. The waiting time would be ok if the staff wouldn't be rude and really arrogant. They have a water dispenser here. But why should they refill it? They are way to busy chatting to each other since hours. So just be quiet and wait. Don't come up with the idea and ask how long it will still take.

I had a great experience at the A&E after a sporting injury. All the staff I came into contact with were attentive, kind, calm, helpful and funny (the doctor particularly). I was in and out in 3 hours (with cast and sling) and can't fault any of it. Excellent ad for the NHS.

My husband had to be admitted after new year's eve. It was a hard time for us but the staff from this hospital made his stay more pleasant. It makes you realise that paying your tax is not in vain. Don't have words to express my gratitude towards the staff.

After the first queue to check in, there is another wait to register a turn which took 20 minutes. Then, although the approximate waiting time has been stated on the reception, 2 hours in my case, it took me three hours to get to be seen by a nurse and the generic response is "sorry for the wait." By the time I finally saw the GP, I had explained my whole physical problem 4 times. Even though she was nice, it's safe to say it's not worth the 4 hours process. If you need to be seen there, ask for the '5 minutes walk' GP contacts they provide.
