I have no issue with the hospital staff and the timing of appointments. My concern is over the absolutely crass means of parking control. While I have no problem with the hospital trying to make a few quid in extra income, but handing control to ParkingEye is a step too far. This company are the pits and apply a less than straightforward approach to payment for parking. In fact I believe it's deliberately set to confuse so they can make as much as possible for fines for non payment or overstays. The machine says you have 20 minutes free parking yet you don't. The 20 minutes is the time between going in and coming out, and if you have a problem finding a space or it's a bit congested getting out then the time for parking is reduced by that wasted time. When you arrive, you naturally think, ah... a ticket machine so go to pay for the stay. Only want 15 minutes or so? Remember that time has already started so you don't get the 15 minutes free at all. You get what's left of the total 20 minutes from time of entry to exit. This is specifically designed to trip you up so they can cash in on fines. Also, people who really can get in and out in 20 minutes are still left confused. The machine says there's 20 minutes free parking and there's no need to enter your registration details. BUT it doesn't say that if you overstay you can enter your details on leaving and pay the appropriate amount. Further to that, the 20 minutes free time isn't added on to the paid for time. So if you pay the lesser amount of £3 you don't get 3 pounds worth PLUS 20 free minutes. I watched 3 people who only wanted the 20 minutes and they were totally confused by how to go about things. They entered their registration details and they HAD to pay £3. No way is this a simple exercise. It's a deliberate trap. For what it's worth, the previous gated entry and exit is the only fair way to ensure the payments are made for the proper period, and uphold the integrity of the hospital. Finally, the government expects that a system such that they currently employ is one of last resort, and place an obligation on a barrier system. Durham do it and there are no problems there. For anyone who gets a ticket I recommend going on to the Pepipoo forums for help to get it sorted out.

Nothing wrong with the hospital, but the receptionist in the physiotherapy department who may be called Elizabeth was rather rude to most people coming up to check in for their appointments, being quite snobby and generally not very nice to people who where elderly or not very well. She appeared to shape up when someone who was waiting made a comment about her acting the way she was. Receptionists are meant to be nice not arsey.

The location it's self is lovely and the reception staff seem lovely but if you are an NHS patient be prepared to get spoken to rudely and treated as if nobody cares. They would prefer to see some big money before making you feel welcome and worthy of being there. Awful experience which left me very upset and the consultant I saw had absolutely no compassion towards my situation.

Absolutely awful. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and have been waiting for a letter for a scan date. Instead I have received a letter saying they have no room for me at the hospital. I have had a previous stillbirth at 40 weeks and a partial molar pregnancy. Absolutely shocking considering I should be monitored. I have been trying to contact the hospital since last week. The furthest I get is the switchboard and then I am transferred to an extension that does not answer the phone.

I think this hospital is fantastic, I have had all 3 of my children here, first I had an emergency c-section all staff we're great and friendly I then went to have 2 other children planned c-sections, my last child came out with an infection and had to spend a week in neonatal all staff there we're lovely too even gave all the mommies with children mother's day cards

if i could i would give it a rating of - stars as it horrendous as the midwifes do not know how to do their job right i have seen my sister in law go through a lot of pain and no care from the midwifes and disrespect and no support when asking for help. she was 2 weeks overdue and the baby left with no water for 2 days which resulted to the baby being dry and having a poo in her stomach which resulted to her and the baby having infection and still being told to wait and left in pain. i my self am 5 moths pregnant soon to have my child and i will not have my child in women's hospital as i would not want to go through what my sister in law went through i have read many complains about the hospital and the staff i feel extremely upset how the hospital have not been able to train and maintain their staff to give the right care to people i hate to say it but i would feel scared and unsafe for my child to be born in this hospital from the result i have seen . i will also be taking further actions upon this as my family are not happy and further more complains will be made.

I want to share what a brilliant service I received here. People are often too quick to leave negative comments without it being constructive in anyway, and not many people take time to share positive feedback. When I asked to have my baby at the women's I wanted to know I was in safe hands. I certainly was. I can't fault any aspect of care I received, which I am grateful for. My labour was induced and although it did not 'go to plan' my baby and I were very well looked after by all staff from midwives, doctors, anaesthetists, student midwives, healthcare staff and catering teams. They were all fantastic and I couldn't of asked for better care. My midwife and student midwife on the day of delivery were very attentive and did all they could to ensure smooth delivery. Even after I was discharged and my phone was left on the bed, and ended up in the linen room the two porters did all they could at half past midnight to reunite me with my phone which was so important to me as I had just taken so many precious photos of my new baby! They went above and beyond and are stars!

3 years wasted with icsi and ivf. No diagnosis done, just unexplained. Went private, found the problem immediately, first time pregnant. Unfortunately stuck back here after 39 weeks pregnant waiting on a scan. Couldn't get a seat in the waiting area, we both ended up sitting on the floor. 2 days later and we still haven't seen a consultant let alone gone for the scan. Not good when you consider the building is not fit for purpose. Windows barely open, no air conditioning, stifling hot inside. My wife got put in post natal as there aren't any beds. She hasnt slept in over 48 hours. Just what you need before labor starts.

Would help if they actually answered the phone! It's a good job it's not an emergency! I'm 18 weeks and still haven't had a scan yet at my midwife appointment she couldn't even get through to them cause no one was answering! So I don't even know if I'm booked in or not I really don't need this worry and stress!

If there was less than one Star I'd give it. If you're intending to give birth here please please think of other options. The management of the whole process of having a baby here is disgraceful . I don't even know where to start and the story is so long . My daughter had her first child and what should have been an exciting but calming and comfortable experience was turned into a shambolic mismanaged nightmare. Apart from a couple of lovely caring Midwives ( but believe me there were some very rude ignorant ones) my daughter wouldn't have got as far as she did. Change of room after room more than 4 times, lack of pain management , uncertainty , too much paperwork not enough comfort ( for relatives either) She's currently in a private room and has been told she has to stay, but if she does she'll have to be moved AGAIN. 7th time. It really frustrates me thinking that no one will take notice of any of the bad reviews on here and nothing will happen. But the state of the NHS isn't the government's fault it's the lack of training and very poor management in this particular hospital.

What a truley amazing hospital. From the minute you walk in, you feel like a VIP and that you as a person matter. The waiting area is beautiful and the staff are clean, smart and really want to be there. I had foot surgery with Mr Sam Singh and his amazing anetastist from Egypt, I can't rember his name, but he put me at ease straight away and made me laugh and kept me entertained. I have a terrible needle phobia and terrible anxiety around medical equipment and it was no problem to any of the staff, who could not do enough for me. The rooms are beautiful, totally private, ensuring dignity, and privacy at all times. Mr sighs receptionist Elliea is a truley wonderful lady, she is quick to respond to any emails you send her with any worries or concerns you may have - how every big or small and she really cares about you and your well being. The nurses where amazing, a blonde lady and Italian girl where the two nurses who helped me first when I arrived, and where like magic angels, the night nurse Richie, was genuine and thoughtful to me. Any time I pressed the buzzer for assistance, a nurse was with me in under 2 minutes. Pleased to help me with a smile, with pain relif, the toilet or a snack. The food was wonderful and the catering team where so friendly. I would say the food was on par with many top London restaurants . The soup was deifinatley home made, the salad was fresh and crisp and full English breakfast was amazing. I would like to thank chelsfield park hospital for for being outstanding, the nurses for being kind, hard working and thoughtful at all times. Mr sigh and his surgery team for being the best, the catering team for making amazing food, the reception team for being welcoming and last but not least Elliea Mr sighs PA, for being very kind to me. I would advise anyone who has a foot problem to see Mr Sighn at The Chelsfield, and that I wish I had not left it this long to have surgery. I would like to also advise people how very very important it is to have private medical insure, it not as expensive as you might think and you can't put a price on health. If I did not have insurance, I would not have been able to afford to have this operation and there is no way I would have been looked after, had the privacy I had and cared for in the was I was with The NHS, which is under immense presure. Many thanks once again.

We went to BMI for treatment, which we were hoping would be discrete and professional. There was confusion over a final bill, which was for £180. After spending £000’s here. Despite this agreed to be waived, BMI are constantly posting automated letters, calling us, emailing just for £180. I would not recommend BMI, not for the treatment side, but simply for NOT keeping things discrete and professional. We thought we could trust BMI, but phone calls regarding highly personal transcations with debt collecting people is disgusting.

It's a private hospital meaning you will get much better service than most surrounding NHS hospitals: usually its possible to see the right specialist within days. Of course you need to pay either by yourself or let your medical insurance pay for you. The staff is friendly and the hospital is clean. It's located in a quiet area with enough parking.

It is disappointing service, my brother got a pre-surgery appointment I been calling them for the last 5 days and left message too, but unfortunately no one is answering my call, it put me straight to voice mail with a message "you call back etc", which they have never called me. Its sad that BMI is not prioritising those who call unless you go to the hospital and speak to them about your concerns.

My wife was treated there. That was just terrible!! Staff not trained. To have a tea of food I had to go and keep asking them as nobody was care. They couldn't take a blood properly, they didn't know how to make IV! When she was back from the theater there were numbers of air bubbles and nurse can't see a problem. When I pointed, she started making a backflush buy pushing bubbles back with the blood from vein! However, when anesthesiologist (he was the only one who comming to us) saw it, he told that IV wasn't necessary and he didn't know why and what for it was fitted. The guy, who was taking a blood sample, after several unsuccessful attempts offered to punch him in a face!! what an idiot!!. The surgeon, Dr. Masood, came one hour later and disappeared right after operation and staff didn't know what to do. He was not answering on his mobile or SMS, nobody knew if he was still in hospital or out. They didn't know if we had to stay overnight or go home and which medicine had to be given (if any). But the worse was that they put infection everywhere they only could and my wife had to take two courses of a strong antibiotics to clear it out. It is almost four months after operation but she is still suffering. I reported all these nonsense to Administrator, June White. She was listening and making notes. She promissed to investigate and send us a letter but looks like she forgot immediately after we left her clinic. I would recomend to stay away from these vets especially if you sent there from NHS

After having our first IVF at Exeter I swore I wouldn't go there again so we gave BCRM a go the staff were fabulous our treatment was very proffessional I was very lucky to fall pregnant with twins sadly one did not make it but I'm now blessed with a son! I would advise anyone going through fertility problems to go to BCRM my only query if you decide to egg share they make you have a counselling session with their counsellor, I found her to be slightly aggressive and rude other than that a fab experience.

I can compare this to 2 other clinics and unfortunately I cannot rate this clinic as good, seem to still be "finding their feet". Reception staff civil at best and not always open when arriving for appointments, clinic staff a little warmer but impersonal/cold. Only time I got a phone call was very demanding asking for money otherwise I had to call for results or queries, was oversold drugs that I didn't need or use and they wouldn't take back. No real suppprt available out of office hours. Was told to google how to use the drugs! I've had many rounds of IVF and the 1 round I did here was my least successful by way of egg quality and any to freeze, I didn't have a follow up to check if it had worked so not sure how they manage their success statistics.

Can't tell whether they're any good, but they are slow, inefficient and unhelpful. It's hard to get hold of them on the phone in office hours, and I suspect they're only responding well after their deadlines because I chased them. And they will only deal with my GP, which seems unhelpful.

Was great all the way through, couldn't fault the nurses. Was completely let down at the end of our treatment when it mattered the most. My wife had her egg retrieval and didn't feel ready to have her eggs put back when they was supposed to. We shared our concerns with the docs and they was more concerned about getting her in and out. We was told all the way through we can have 2 eggs put back although they don't recommend it.. when it got to the procedure they wouldn't put 2 back and instead told us to freeze one which we couldn't afford after already spending thousands. Was made to feel like it was our only option so I had to find a spare 500 quid out of thin air after we was told freezing any remaining embryos was included in the cost of the treatment (it was not). We really just felt like a number at the end. They had our eggs, they had our money and now they wanted rid. My wife has been put off IVF for life after this horrific experience. It's a very emotionally and physically draining experience and after seeing the pain my wife went through after her egg retrieval (that was meant to be just an uncomfortable feeling) I would not recommend to anyone. She was in a lot of pain for weeks to the point she nearly passed out at work.

From the first enquiry email we were made to feel important. Every aspect of our journey was carried out with compassion and honesty, allowing us to feel completely in control and looked after, during such an emotional and testing time. We would recommend anyone considering fertility treatment to seek advice from Care Fertility, and we can say with complete confidence and a four day old baby girl, that taking the time to save for private treatment was the best option.

Fantastic experience all round. Every member of staff from consultant to ward staff and reception were so friendly and helpful; even after being discharged! Consultants extremely knowledgeable and able to offer the most up to date options which have resulted in a much more positive outcome for us in just 5 months start to finish compared to our 1.5 year ordeal with St marys which was a catalogue of errors. Yes we had to pay at care fertility but it's been worth every penny!

Impossible to speak to anyone, always put through to an answering machine, took days to book and appointment and then the same annoying process of being put through to voicemail to get results. Also very dis-satisfied with service as I got incomplete results. Would not recommend and will not use again. Giving one star because I chose this clinic based on the 5 star rating but my experience has been anything but 5 star.

We cannot recommend Care in Sheffield highly enough. Every member of staff work to ensure the process is as stress free as possible - a very hard thing to do in the circumstances. We have had one happy outcome from an incredibly tough 8 years of trying. Care have made it so much easier to deal with. We had two unpleasant cycles at Leeds as well as 5 at care; the difference between the two is incredible. We would choose Sheffield every time, which is why we accept the 4 hour round journey for each appointment. It's money and time well spent. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions, but we owe our happiness to Care. In response to the other review which suggests Care are only interested in profits; we have not once felt that we are pushed into paying money for things we don't need. Nor is the fact that you pay regardless of the outcome unfair. They are totally transparent about all costs and never push you into paying for things that you are unsure of (despite what the poorly produced and biased Panorama programme suggests about IVF clinics in general!). We have looked into IVF options abroad and have always considered these options carefully. Nonetheless we have chosen Care every time.

I am so disappointed after the consultation I left the clinic in tears. I was so anxious before the appointment as I couldn't wait for my blood and scan results, however as soon as the consultant invited us in before ever giving me a chance to sit down he said where are you from because your name doesn't sound English!! I got even more anxious 😩 and than he started asking our names and age I was shocked as he didn't even read our forms that we had filled in prior. He didn't even mention my results which I payed for and was anxious to hear the results but he started to lecture us that the treatment might not be good for as as we might end up no bonding with the baby as so many do. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and how are we being treated so badly! The consultant then left the office because of reasons we didn't understand he said he was looking for some forms he than came back after some minutes and said he couldn't find them! He told us to do another test which they could of told us in the beginning not make an appointment to pay to be insulted and scared 😳 the appointment didn't last more than 25 minutes as he didn't talk much no info no advice Nothing. We ended up paying 190 pounds so that I can go home and cry all day long.

Without taking into consideration how emotional all this is for us as we have decided and we didn't need any negative discussion from his part as it just made my emotional state worse. Having had unsuccesful treatment at another private clinic in central Cardiff. My friend recommended I give CRGW a try as she(unbeknown to me had also had treatment to have her twin boys!). I cannot believe the difference in the 2 clinics. My first clinic only seemed interested in getting money out of me and had lots of "extras" which were added to the bill.Amanda at CRGW is a fantastic, empathetic and caring woman.I would have no hesitation in recommending her. CRGW are head and shoulders above the other clinic.

Avoid at all costs!! The clinic lied to me on several occasions, promised me a refund then denied this. The complaints process is pointless as no one actually responds to the issues raised. I'd advise you research other clinics as I'm sure this one is ok if all goes well but has caused me considerable emotional distress at a time when this is the last thing I needed.

I am an internist (physician) from India and was completing a clinical attachment here. As a doctor, there's excellent clinical exposure. As most people who will be reading this review will be patients or patients' well-wishers, I will attempt to tell you what I'm giving this place 4 stars. The canteen is good, moderately priced. The toilets are tidy. The hospital itself is clean. The only drawback are long waiting times and that's not entirely the hospital's fault. The doctors here are amongst the best.

I was referred by my GP for a condition that ended-up needing a 5.5 hour operation and three days on the surgical ward. The initial consultation, pre-op assessment, surgery, and ward care were slick, unhurried, and world-class. Everybody I dealt with was utterly professional, concerned that I understood all my options, risks and the processes involved at every step, and their goal was for the best long term outcome; cost and inconvenience to them didn't factor in. When I got spooked by a slight change in my wound 8 weeks afterward, I called the ward, was invited to return to the ward at 8:00am the next day, and was seen by the registrar at 8:10 am who was supportive and understanding, examined me and put my concerns to rest. I don't believe I could have had better care at any price.

This place is a JOKE. My partner had a stroke and was not seen for 7 hours, then he wanted to find out the results of a brain scan but was informed by the the Registrar that he was too busy to talk to you!!! He was told he had suffered a bleed on the brain from a domestic wh looked at his notes for him. Parking situation is atrocious and the staff in the wards and the patient liason are disgusting to deal with. Staff on wards ignored elderly patients falling out of bed or asking for water. Should be sacked the LOT OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dermatology at the hospital could teach a lot of other hospitals /departments a thing or two. Appointments running before time, very kind, helpful staff & saw the named consultant on all three visits this week. Car parking fairly expensive - hopefully that goes back to the hospital not a private company. But all in all a very good positive experience. Thank you......WE NEED TO LOOK AFTER THE NHS BECAUSE ONE SHE MIGHT NOT BE HERE ANYMORE.

There are three redeeming features of this hell-on-earth. First, the staff are really nice and friendly; second it seems to have every department there has ever been; and thirdly, if you happen to be flush enough to treat yourself, there's a M&S on site. However, the parking is an absolute nightmare. I've never experienced worse. Truly horrible. And that's only by the time you've queued through the entry roads. There are idiots everywhere, in particular a set of entitled middle aged women who seem to think it's OK to sit in the car park with their engine running, window down, whilst smoking a cigarette. "it has to be on the charge my phone" one misinformed hag told me. The place is busy. Like as busy as alton towers in there school term, only worse because at least at alton towers the line you're waiting in will go eventually, instead here your reward is another queue to stand in, or another waiting room to sit in. Appointment times are 'a guide' my guide is, if you leave your house at the appointment time, get to the hospital and then spend an hour trying to park, half an hour trying to find your department/clinic, 20 mins going back to find a toilet because you didn't want to piss yourself in the car or in front of the clinic reception clerk, then you still have 3 hours to get some sleep in the waiting room. Which you will need because if you told work you'll have to have a few hours off but end up with the whole day, you'll be going back in the evening so get sleep while you can.

10 months waiting for surgery. 5 hours waiting on a freezing cold ward. Overheard staff saying they were disciplined for wearing a cardigan. Maybe a coat would have been better. 5 hours prepared and waiting. Operation cancelled. Days pay lost. Tumour still waiting to be removed and biopsied. Maybe next year? The year after? Or is it cheaper to wait and see? Jeremy Hunt, are your children proud of the NHS you leave behind?

I had emergency surgery at this hospital and i could not fault them. I think you can not be negative about the staff in the NHS, they work long hours on a low pay to save YOUR lives. I was shot in the hand. After surgery i was given food, wheeled up to my room and every hour they come to check up on me through out the night. The next morning i was given a MENU :O for breakfast.. i bl**dy menu. Food is average but i'm there for life saving treatment, not a Michelin star cooked meal. I would visit this hospital again, although i don't wish or plan too.

It's a big hospital. It's operated by NHS. There are thousands of people working really hard. That includes doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, drivers, cleaning staff, maintenance, security and what not. They are really busy and they are overwhelmed, so cut them some slack. They don't want you there anymore than you want to be there. They would like to fix you asap and get you gone. So if you have a cut on your finger, put a plaster on yourself. Check how much you have to pay on private treatment before you complain. Parking however, is an absolute nightmare. It's not enough, and really expensive if you do find a place. Nearly same price as some major airports. My advise, take a bus.

If you're about to have a baby please do avoid this place. We've had the worse experience ever. We delivered our first baby in Luton hospital but we weren't treated so badly. They really did not care at all about my wife or the baby. We felt like they were forced to do anything for us. Don't even know why they kept my wife overnight cause she would have been treated a lot better at home. I'm really disappointed in this hospital and hope I'll never have to come back here ever again.

Went for a routine check at the opticians who sent me to A&E eye casualty with a swollen optic nerve, had 4 different people say the same thing with no resolution to it, felt like clapping 'well done you're the 4th person to tell me I have a swollen optic nerve'. Keep getting referred, referred and referred. Waiting time is ridiculous and so far they've been as helpful as a chocolate tea pot over a period of months. Researched the condition myself and will deal with it myself as it's not bothering me and can apparently clear itself up. This hospital is wasting tax payers money, it's more like a business. No wonder people are fed up of the NHS.

People will always be quick to complain about poor service, it's nice to see that there are some good comments on here too. The general public are so unforgiving. As with all businesses, there are good staff and not so good staff. There are good departments and not so good departments, the reasons for which you will not know unless you work there. The staff work very hard, they are mostly polite and personable. I have spent a lot of time at this hospital over many years since it opened. Sometimes my experiences are good, sometimes not so good. Luck of the draw I guess. The worst clinics I have ever attended are the Centre for Reproductive Medicine and the Ante Natal Clinics (Ultrasound included). The waiting times are simply ridiculous in both areas. The Ante Natal has put me off to the point of not having any further children which I shouldn't really have to be a part of considering! The hospital is clean, the facilities inside are decent. They do need to sort out the parking situation and the pay and display car park, which I always end up under or overpaying for, usually with some distress when underpaying as you dread getting back to your car with a ticket on it because your paid time has expired. The other major item is the smoking. Smoking around the entrances is disgusting and seeing pregnant women or people smoking around their sick children is disgusting. The hospital just need to acknowledge that despite their policies, people are going to smoke. They need to provide some 'bus stop' type shelters far enough away from the entrances for these people to smoke out of the way and for those of us that don't smoke, to not have to put up with their passive fumes.

I had my baby here back in September and although after my son was born.. they were brilliant, before my son was born I was treated awful! I came in with my waters broke and they were also checking me for a blood clot in my lung and all sorts of things.. without even knowing the results, they xame into my room at 1am and told me i needed to wait in the waiting room as they needed the bed?! It was 1am in the morning and I was in agony.. I was disgusted with this and so were my family! But when my son was finally here after 2 and half weeks of me being in hospital before hand, they were brilliant! Just a shame they treated me so rubbish whilst he was inside of me!

I've had my daughter and son born here, and each time, baby and I were well looked after. I am grateful for all the help I received. I would have given 5 stars, but deduct one only because I was told that the hospital doesn't do neonatal circumcision for those that request it. (Turns out that if you have a baby boy, you CAN have him circumcised in the private outpatients wing. I would like to have known at the time, as I ended up going elsewhere to have this done for my son.)

Been in twice for bumps and breaks and seen within 2 hours both times. All brand new and clean. Staff as always in the NHS excellent. Better than George's or St Thomas' for wait times and have everything they do. I'd travel the extra 10 mins or so for a walk in to A&E. My niece was born here and that was also (apparently!) Excellent.. Pharmacy opposite and plenty of food options in the area if your in for a wait. Underground parking also on site, albeit expensive as you'd expect for a central London parking location.

Terrible emergency service! Waited for 4 hours simply to get a medicine. They put me to a room after waiting for 3 hours, but no one never came to attend the room and check on me or give me anything until I have to find the doctor again! I had to keep pressing the doctor and the nurse to give me the medicine as they kept saying they were doing straight away which they didn't. In the end they told me the medication was no available and asked me to go somewhere else next day. I told them I had not slept for 33 hours and haven't eaten for 10 hours, and I was really on the edge to pass out because I am suffering from a bad cold, but both of the nurses just didn't care and walked away. I simply asked if I could just leave and pick it up next morning as they need to order it, the doctor told me I would need to go to another clinic and requeue all over again if I don't wait for it there but they wouldn't tell me how long it may take to wait for it. I understand they might be busy in the A&E sometimes, but clearly it wasn't the case at the time I was there. I only went to A&E because I really needed to and I was following the guidance due to the circumstances I was in. I usually do respect the doctors and nurses at the hospital, but it really disappointed me with how those two doctor and nurse handled the patient, particularly the doctor which he was clearly playing his game there which is very unprofessional!

Terrible experience! I have just had major abdominal surgery and was on the Chelsea Ward which is private. I have had several operations in my time but never have I experienced such appalling aftercare. They might as well have had a vending machine of drugs as the lack of any care was just shocking. I am very surprised this could happen on a private ward in such a well known London hospital. Apparently the rest of the ward is full of older chronically ill patients paying privately and so their focus is on them as that's where they make their money - also old patients usually don't or can't complain. Explains a lot!

Twenty minute so far trying to find out if my friend is still in the C & W. They need to answer the telephone occasionally. Nine months later......worst than ever. The computer that answers the phone has not been set up in such a way that it can put you though to a human being when it can't understand what you want. So it tries a range of random departments. I ended up being put through to Mental Health (not entirely inappropriate after 40 minutes) and a helpful man there said he would put me through to the switchboard but, after another half hour, it became clear nobody was going to answer. UTTERLY HOPELESS.

Been here for the birth of our second child. The birthing center has been absolutely fantastic. Very competent and friendly staff, they made us feel at home and helped us with great sweetness and professionalism. The only slight issue was a noisy fan in the room, but this was absolutely nothing compared to the great service we received. Highly recommended. We did not experience the labour ward, but all examinations and prenatal courses we had at the hospital were great. Again, professional, punctual and friendly staff. Great!

If i could put 0 stars i would. Avoid - Avoid. The desperation and desire to have children takes you many places, and this is one if the worst ones in the list. They are a well set up business who see no further that the £££ signs. Hidden costs will follow up, chase you and threaten you with debt collectors months after. Even though you had to pay everything upfront. So what you see is definitely NOT what you get. Do not waste your money, zero results and absolutely terrible experience. my partner is now pregnant from treatment elsewhere, first time. The clinic and service do not compare when looking back. Do not make the mistake we did. This clinic isn't your answer.

Saw dr Abramov for our first consultation and felt that he understood our needs and took our wishes into consideration, so far very pleased. Staff have been nothing but really nice and kind, appointments sometimes run a bit late, but that's everywhere the same. Nice and modern facility Also really happy with the costs as we got a chance to discuss everything with a member of staff - definitely a lot cheaper treatment than other London clinics

I can't recommend the team at GENNET City Fertility enough and Shaun Rogers the Senior Embryologist/Laboratory Manager was world class. Our experience from start to finish was faultless. At the age of 42 I went through just one cycle of stimulated IVF and ICSI which produced 15 fertilised eggs and then eight blastocysts, two were implanted and we are now very proud parents to one healthy and huge baby boy. GENNET City Fertility continue to store the remaining six blastocysts in case we want to extend our family yet further... we'll see! All staff were incredibly professional, in touch with the very latest techniques, gave honest recommendations based on our circumstances and were warm and friendly. The clinic is modern and calm, all appointments were on time and we loved its convenient and refreshing non Harley Street location (not to mention INCREDIBLE VALUE FOR MONEY - they are the cheapest IVF Clinic in the South of England!).

Really pleased with the early pregnancy scans and Harmony test my partner and I had here. Reassurred us during a worrying twin pregnancy and found them much more affordable than other London clinics. Costs were always very clear and staff always friendly and took their time with us.

We couldn't be happier about our whole experience during our IVF treatment at Complete Fertility Center! Coming from abroad everything was new to us but everyone; receptionists, assistant nurses, nurses, doctors and embryologists was extremely friendly and helpful! A special thanks to the wonderful Julie Hedges who guided us through every step of the way! We would recommend Complete Fertility to anyone who has a wish to become a parent - you will get so much support and professional treatment during your journey!

I have been in and out of the St Mawes Lounge and Ward for the last couple of days. The lounge is super conformable and relaxing with a great fish tank and TV to watch. I have spent the last 7 hours testing the big blue chairs and they still haven't sent my bum to sleep. Top notch! The team looking after me yesterday Jonathan, Laura and Rosie amoungst others were extremely kind and helpful and provided some light hearted humour which is always most welcome when you're not feeling well. Overall apart from the long waiting time to see various professionals the service was excellent and made me feel very safe and comfortable. I would therefore like to thank all the team from the bottom of my heart!

This Hospital saved my life twice! All I can say is they are all a truly wonderful, dedicated staff, Doctors, everyone. After two comas one lasting 3 1/2 months!!!! How can I possibly say they are not. I heard people complaining and moaning about trivial things in my eyes, who just refused to acknowledge the complexities of all the patients illnesses. I told them bluntly thank your lucky stars you don't live abroad especially America! I had to stay in High Wycombe General once ..... it was sheer hell.....fortunately it's closed now. The difficulties lie in the top management, as with most organisations,,,, by no means the Hospital itself. Thank God they were there when i needed them.....And Thank You The Royal Cornwall Hospital.....for being there for everyone.....only the bad stories are told never the really amazing ones you do every single day...... My praise is not enough to convey my gratitude.

After a colorectal examination under general anesthetic, I was moved to a ward to recuperate. Everything and everyone who dealt with me was kind and professional ... except ... later in the afternoon a young lady brought round drinks and snacks. I watched as she went around the ward and when asked I said I would like a sandwich. She then proceeded to remove the sandwich from it's sealed container, put onto a plate and cover it with her Bare Hand whilst she cut it into four. I had watched as she touched various items on other patients trays before my sandwich. The possibility for cross contamination is huge. She should have been wearing gloves! Why wasn't she?????? I didn't want to embarrass her, so said nothing and quietly put the sandwich into the bin. I believe that by law if she is handling food, she should be wearing gloves. Action Treliske !!!!!

Following on from the CQC reports condemning this house of misery and despair I must state that 1 star is four stars more than the whole Cornwall health service deserves. I've been a victim of their neglect since the mid 60's and so far through numerous unnecessarily prolonged stays they have a 100% record of abject failure. The list is very long so I will give this example of their complete lack of professionalism. I was moved from what was then the ICU (subsequently it became an ITU and probably another half dozen different names presumably on the basis that if they keep people guessing no one will know how bad they are). Someone else was in more need of the intensive care I assume. There I was semi-conscious in a ward which was meant to provide vital care. The problem being that I was hooked up to tubes and wires. I think it was something to do with visiting time but cannot be sure. Anyway I was placed in a small side ward along with my bags of blood and saline. I remained there the entire night. Lonely and floating in an ocean of agony. Unable even to moan because I was nil by mouth and hadn't drunk even water for several days. The following day the Matron, during her rounds, quite by chance, took a look into the small ward I'd been placed in. She then went ballistic because if she hadn't looked I'd have ended up dead and still unnoticed. As a result of the criticism one of the nurses, who'd moved me, got she then spent her days tormenting me in every way possible. Initially she would deliberately knock the traction weights, for my shattered bones, every time she walked past. When that stopped getting a reaction she'd lift the weights up and place them so that there was zero traction on my limbs. I would like to add that 2 of the surgeons who operated on my broken body were subsequently struck off. One for malpractice because he was still using procedures 20 years out of date and the other after 3 of his patients died due to his alcoholism. Thanks to them I have spent well over a year (nearer 2) inside the NHS. My advice on this is that best practice is to only go into a hospital where a close friend or relation works. That way you'll get 5 or 6 staff at your bedside even if you are only suffering from constipation. Four of them will be offering only moral support while forgetting medication but still recording it as having been administered. If that happens to you don't question their version of reality because they will only take umbrage and will never bother to check. Besides which if your friends work there you are allowed to break almost every rule with impunity. They'll even rush round to hide the evidence when someone senior makes a brief visit. It may also be worth obtaining your medical notes either through a Freedom of Information request or, as I did, when they leave the file at your bedside. Reading them will really open your eyes and leave you with 3 options: 1) These aren't your notes they must be those of a different patient with the same name, address and date of birth. 2) You have developed selective amnesia forgetting all instances of the treatment, advice and consultations you received. 3) The notes are a carefully constructed lie to cover up their incompetence and lack of professional diligence. This is only the tip of a very large iceberg but despite their worst efforts I am not bitter. Having rebuilt my life 3 times over from scratch I developed skills and a resilience most can only dream of. I've grown used to being crippled and the only effects it really has are a phobia about hospitals and a Do Not Resuscitate notice on my medical notes. I'd rather die cold and alone in a water filled ditch than go back there. Venting this after suffering 50 years of incompetence and lies was also quite refreshing. Have a nice day and try not to do anything that risks earning you a stay in any Cornish hospital. They are death traps unless you have the right medical condition or someone you know on the inside. A bit like an Asian prison really.

Typical NHS under staffed, under funded. For the 21st century its 3rd world standards are poor. Who would have thought we was once the greatest country in the world, and without our health we have nothing. No need for a bigger better hospital or infastructure we will just build more houses. Great idea 👍

If you intend to visit this hospital then bring supplies and be prepared. A bed, cleaning materials and a ton of patience. If in the rare case that you get admitted, check out the local funeral directors before entering. (Always better to do this before admittance) My love affair with Treliske started around 2 and a half years ago when I visited the Accident and Emergency department at 2am after waking with bad neck pain, being violently sick and passing out. On arrival I was greeted by Receptionist who welcomed me with half a mouth of food and a crooked half smile. After waiting my turn at reception, I heard a grunt. ''NAME' I gave my name, shortly followed by a grunting, 'WHAT'S THE ISSUE' I explained and after handing over some more details, she then promoted me to sit down with a finger and another grunt. I took a seat with all the other soon to be victims and looked up at a screen and seen that the wait was an hour and a half. I can do that I thought to myself, apart from Peppa the pig, so far things are going well. An hour and a half wait, get some pain relief and a possible indication to what's going on and on my way. Surely, I'll be another happy customer of the NHS service. Within 30 minutes of waiting, amongst the other happy faces the nurse called me through to a small room After 5 minutes doing the various observations I am told to sit back down and I'll be seen within the hour. (She was alright, and although stressed she seemed to do her job) Time soon past and after waiting for 2 hours I stumbled in agony to reception to ask Peppa how long would it be. Luckily, the grunts had stopped and, albeit a short one, I managed to have a conversation with her (Guess she had finished her food) She then explained while giving me direct eye contact and a eerie long gaze that it wont be long with no indication to how long. I taken my seat and was just about to abandon all hope, go home and double dose on some old codeine that I had in the kitchen cupboard, get some sleep and try to ignore the problem as much as I could. At that moment in time, my bed was a far safer option than A and E. To be honest, Syria was probably safer than AnE. Then, just as I am about to leave, I hear my name called. Hallelujah, I imagined angles and a mist of smoke with a healthy doctor immerging with a clip board and wearing a smile. What I got was an morbidly obese monster of a man. This doctor must of been 20+ stone (I have nothing against morbidly obese people, but alarm bells ring when the guy who is in charge of my health can't deal with his own) I sat down with him in the same room the nurse seen me in. No investigations were done and asked if I had taken pain relief. I said yes, some paracetamol and ibuprofen. He then dismissed it as being nothing to worry about and follow up with GP.This man (Mr W) was the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He was pouring with sweat, greasy hair and unwashed. He had the social skills of a slug and no compassion or regard for my symptoms. I then left the hospital and planned on taking pain relief when I got home. I knew I was not right and drove home only to have an accident at 6am on a Sunday morning after briefly passing out while driving back. I was fine and managed to get the car back but could've been avoided. That was the start of it. Still under investigation, symptoms have worsened. GP and Treliske and terrible with no end in sight. I now pass out regularly and live in chronic pain. Being passed from pillar to post often waiting months to be seen, then seen by rude and trainee doctors. Not something I expected in my 30's. Cheers Treliske, another happy customer.

The a&e department is hell, the waiting time is ridiculous. You will be waiting about 2 hours from the first point. Depending on where you go but majors you are then waiting another 2-3 hours just to get a bed/ have bloods taken. Then you are waiting another 3-4 hours to see a doctor with your results. I used to be in a&e regular with an ongoing issue so i went through this process often, its ridiculous. Then whilst i was waiting to have surgery i had a pre op done and was told i could be on the waiting list for the surgery for up to 6 months. 6 months had gone by so i phoned up to question why i had not heard anything and it turned out the surgeon i saw didn't even put me on the waiting list. So i had to wait even longer...i was put on the priority list due to my problem becoming more serious. Thankfully only another few months went by before i could get my surgery. Was ridiculous the amount of a&e trips i had to take, atleast one every two weeks for nearly a year with a flare up. I should have taken it further but 17 year old me didn't think to log all the information down and neither did my parents.

I have had 2 babies, 2 operations, various tests and samples taken, and a short stay with an infection at the Countess. All care received was excellent, particularly in the mother and baby part! My daughter was taken in for 5 days when she was first born and the staff went above and beyond for the entire family. I couldn't be more grateful, and frankly blown away by all the time I have spent there. Praise to all NHS staff!

Had Knee Replacement. On the ward, no interaction with nurses, they were too busy. Put on ward with A&E patients, some with colds. Girl in next bed on phone from 6am talking about patients on the ward. I was discharged 5 days later in EXTREME PAIN and so exhausted because of dreadful pain control. I was given the correct painkillers etc by my own Doctor after me having to phone her. I couldn't eat or sleep because of the pain. I had an appointment 6 weeks after the op. Then told he would see me in 12 months!!! Had to go back because on ulcer on that knee. Surgeon who I saw for few minutes only, had no patience. Went back (2 months later) to see how knee was. Only there few minutes, few minutes!!!!! Why did I have appointment???? Told by Doctor he would see me in 8 months. Got my appointment this morning for 2019!!!!!! Waited 2 months for Dermatology appointment. Given one for 2 months time. My own Doctor thought I had a rare skin disease on my operated knee. Thank god it doesn't seem I have. Dogs don't get treated this bad. Disgusting. There are some nice nurses etc at some departments. But sometimes the hospital is let down by bad Doctors.

This review is for your cafeteria, my daughter had an interview on Tuesday 27th June at 9.15 am so her dad and myself took her and we went into the cafe for breakfast it was just open as staff were moving tables and it looked like the big wigs were visiting, as obviously the boss was telling staff what to do when in fact they all seemed to know and do their jobs very well. The reason for this review is that im in a wheelchair and my hubby and me were struggling abit as we hadnt had food here before we didnt know that we had to serve ourselves well without been asked a certain member of staff asked if we needed help she made our toast carried our trays to be perfectly true we have never ever had this amazing help before ive been in my wheelchair 4 years this July and this member of staff was excellent her friendly smile and nature certainly made my day. This young lady is a pure credit to you and the whole NHS definitely an asset who you need to hold onto and i just wish more people were like her, this other member of staff continued to speak to her in frient of us all in a negative way it was hard to keep my mouth shut. This special young lady who helped us was called PAIGE every work place needs a Paige big thankyou to you Paige from Tracey and Geoff Dixon xxx

Bishop Auckland Hospital Has Amazing Staff And Really Helpful. But In Every Business There Are Some Really Unhelpful Staff. The Doctors And Nurses Are Amazing. The G.U.M Ward Are Amazing And Really Easy To Get On With. The Urgent Care Reception Staff Are Where The Rating Drops. Some Staff That Work On Reception Are Amazing. But With Someone That Has Mental Health Issues. I Didn't Like The Way They Handled My Friend. She Also Has Mental Health And She Explained What She Suffers With. They Handled The Situation In A Wrong Manner. They Were Rude And Wasn't Understanding. (Room For Improvement, All Staff Should Have Some Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders. )

FRAUD FRAUD FRUAD! Went to this clinic two years ago and they carried out a Amh blood test on the same day as my consultation. The bloody doctor didn't even ask what day of my cycle I was on (test should be carried out Day 2-5) the results obviously were terrible. But the the doctor made it out like it was me and advised that I need IVF. Bloody unprofessional money grabbing rogues who take advantage on couples desperation. Do your research guys and avoid this clinic!

We went to Create in St Pauls for a couples fertility screening and would not reccommend this clinic to anyone. In fairness, the doctor who carried out the consultation explained fertility in clear, user-friendly terms. However, I found the pricing mis-leading, in that on the day, after having paid for a couples screening we were asked if we wanted to pay about £100 extra for a sperm analysis test. I'm not sure how this can be seen as an optional extra in couples fertility screening and it would have been more transparent to include this £100 in the cost of the couples screening. Naturally, we paid for the sperm analysis. A problem was identified with this test. The Create doctor gave my partner advice on what to do about this. However, my partner consulted his own GP and was referred to a specialist. The specialist advised on the appropriate course of action and confirmed that the advice by the Create doctor was completely incorrect. We have gone to another respected clinic now and are getting excellent treatment, which hopefully will be successful. Every now and then I get a voicemessage from someone in Create asking if there is anything more they can do for me.

After trying to conceive naturally we came to the conclusion that some help was needed. There were many failed attempts at other clinics with the side effect of ovarian hyper stimulation we almost gave up trying. Fortunately we were introduced to Create Health where they approached IVF differently by using mild IVF meaning that the risk of ovarian hyper stimulation was almost eliminated. On our first attempt our first son was conceived and then a number of years later again first time round we were blessed with a second son. The philosophy of the clinic along with the care shown by Geeta and all the staff made a great difference in our experience. Thank you all.

Having suffered severe OHSS using conventional treatment I thought that my fertility journey had ended. After much online searching I discovered the research of Professor Geeta Nargund talking about safe IVF, Mild IVF, and Natural IVF. I went to see CREATE Fertility and undertook a round of Mild IVF. I could not have Natural IVF due to my fertility issues, however the drugs that I was given were very low, and I therefore did not suffer any of the side effects that I had previously. The clinic were amazingly supportive and attentive, and made me feel comfortable and safe through what is a very emotional and difficult time. My first round of Mild IVF was successful, and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in November. Amazingly, my cycles then started naturally, and after going back to CREATE for advice, it was advised that I was now ovulating naturally. I fell pregnant naturally within 6 months, and had a second beautiful baby girl in October 2008. Thank you so much CREATE and all your staff for my precious miracles.

We used this clinic and the one in Raynes park previously. Incorrect and misinformed advice, they are not specialists but generalists in fertility treatments only. So many things wrong with this service, in my opinion and experience here and I would definitely not recommend this clinic to anyone at the risk of them going through the horrid experience my husband and myself have been through, including them likely transmitting an infection to me. I have since used another more patient friendly service and have gone on to have success.

One word for their service: MESS. What a mess!!!! The staff is so confused and confusing that everything seems out of its place. The way they make money is due to desperation of couple in getting a child, and they charge you separately for every sing thing, gigantic amount for a cycle that you believe it won't cost much at first instance, but then once you are on the loop, the invoices just keep coming, coming and coming. The reception service is terrible (Raynes Park), the clinic isn't the most hygienic place and if you don't push them, you don't get things done. Unless of course, they want to charge you, then they will make anything to get your money. DONT FALL IN THE TRAP.

My treatment at the Spire was my first time having any medical treatment done privately. And from this experience I shall now carry on getting my medical treatment from the NHS. I had a small Op on my ankle, it was just a day case. Was meant to be in for five hours and ended up being discharged after nine and a half, but only as I was going to discharge myself after getting told numerous times the doctor was going to see me to give a post Op run-down etc etc. I do credit a few of the staff members who did give exemplary care but on the whole your better off saving your money.

Officially the worst in the region - according to the HFEA's website. However - not according to their own. Wasted my one free chance at Exeter Fertility - and now I will have to travel to Wales. What an absolute shambles. The nurses are lovely, everyone was friendly - but when you pay thousands of pounds, what's the point in going to the worst clinic in the region? Especially when their prices are higher than most. For ladies out there who (like me) didn't look at the success rates on the official HFEA website, please find them below. These are just for IVF cycles, for women under 35 using their own eggs. This is three years worth of data (2014) and the figures haven't improved since for Fertility Exeter. It's such a shame their website led me to believe 30 -35% success rates, but its actually so much lower. Don't waste your one free chance on the NHS like I did - please go elsewhere. It's not worth the risk, its already so hard on us, emotionally and physically - every tiny percentage counts when you are trying for a miracle. You can double your chances just by travelling 60 miles. I know the choice I would have made should I have had truthful information from their website. Exeter Fertility Pregnancies per cycle 17.8% Live Births Per Cycle 17.2% Singleton Live Births 13.6% Multiple Live Births 3.6% Live births per egg 20.7% Live Births per embryo transfer 25.7% Miscarriages per cycle 0.6% Bristol Center for Reproductive Medicine Pregnancies per cycle 26.1% Live Births Per Cycle 22.7% Singleton Live Births 19.3% Multiple Live Births 3.4% Live births per egg 35.1% Live Births per embryo transfer 40% Miscarriages per cycle 2.3% Bath Fertility Pregnancies per cycle 29.6% Live Births Per Cycle 26.8% Singleton Live Births 26.1% Multiple Live Births 0.7% Live births per egg 31.4% Live Births per embryo transfer 36.2% Miscarriages per cycle 2.1% London's Womens Clinic Wales Pregnancies per cycle 32.5% Live Births Per Cycle 29.4% Singleton Live Births 23.8% Multiple Live Births 5.6% Live births per egg 38.5% Live Births per embryo transfer 43.9% Miscarriages per cycle 2.5% My story? Ill keep it short - over/under cooked - 25 follicles turned into 4 eggs and only one fertilized. Months waiting without a phone call, nearly breached the 18 week pathway - reason? Because the consultant was on Holiday for a month and a new one was starting soon, so it would be a few months. Just another statistic - and a bad one at that. So they wasted nearly 8 months of my life - battered, bruised, forgotten about and nothing to show for it. As I said before, everyone is friendly enough - but something is going seriously wrong somewhere - and when you are in control of something as important as bringing children into the world - its not good enough. At least they offer you free counselling eh!

Unlike the first reviewer, our experience has been great. The first reviewer is correct though in that the HFEA stats are not great and the clinic should really give their own percentages of success rather than national statistics BUT, that being said, Exeter Fertility have been brilliant to us! Occasionally, they are tricky to get hold of but they are always helpful and caring. Thanks to the medical staff and scientists, we are now expecting twins and could not have done it without these wonderful people. All of the staff were very friendly and go above and beyond even despite the fact they are MASSIVELY over stretched and underfunded like the rest of the NHS. Its easy for me to say now as the IVF worked for us first time, but I think even had it not worked, I would not have blamed the clinic. They do a great job and I would recommend them. :-)

They are struggling, but they are doing their very best. There are A&Es closing all the time, and everyone comes to Queens. Hertfordshire Air Ambulance landed yesterday, they took them in. They care, and they do their very best, but there are so many cuts in budgets that it is a fight - they still carry on, doing their best. I feel safe there. Ocean A ward staff, you rock.

I took my 1 year old son to the children's emergency department on Tuesday around 6pm. The waiting room was full but we got seen very quickly. On the first consultation the nurse saw how unwell my baby was and his temperature had reached 40.4 so took us to the bed cubicle straight away for further investigation. We was looked after so well and they really did an amazing job with my unwell baby. Each nurse was polite and very caring. We was admitted to the Tropical lagoon ward and it was very clean and a lovely environment for children. We was cared for so consistently and offered drinks every hour! The nurses even made sure I was ok through the night. The next morning my son was given toys to play with and a portable DVD player with his favourite programmes to watch. The doctor was on his rounds early and saw us quickly. Overall, the children's department at Queens hospital is faultless and I can't thank the staff enough for my baby's care.

I cannot stress enough how poor this hospital have been with my 90 year old Nan. We were told by a doctor my nan had lung cancer and only 9 months to live, they took a biopsy which revealed she didn't have cancer at all. On a 2nd occasion we received a phone call to inform us that my nan was having a heart attack and we need to wait for an update. After waiting nearly an hour we rang the hospital ourselves to be informed she was being treated we then rang back an hour later to be informed she was never having a heart attack she had chest pains which they were giving her medication for. We are disgusted with the mis communication in this hospital.

It's a big and busy hospital. Has all different departments including A&E, hospital pharmacy, few food and drink shops, newspapers. During the day there's stools selling hangs bags and other small iteams. It has a ticket operated car park with decent amount of parking spaces. However it gets filed up quickly, depending what time of the day you arrive, looking of queues if up to an hour. Service experience depends on department and staff. There's good and bad.

If you want medical advice and a duty of care don't go to this hosptial. Waited 4 weeks for my ENT appointment to have the most uncaring doctor you could find. He was completely unprofessional seemed to have a aggressive answer to when I bring up what I need help with. Refused to do his job of being a ear nose and throat specialist and demanded he will only "do as the paper says" and check my ears. I was sent to do a hearing test when although I haven't been referred for my hearing and then told "good news you're fine" this hosptial clearly is trying to minimise costs by filtering patients in and out. He told me he has been doing the job for 19 years, clearly you've gone the easy way without helping patients find the problem and expect the problem to be easy to find. I've gone back to my DR who will refer me to the royal ENT hosptial and I hope your professional diagnosis and neglicace gives me a case to prove you wrong and look to take it further

Well I have to say, this hospital is now looking up! I have been quite a few times in the past month and have seen some great improvements! But, it still waiting can be a problem sometimes! But, overall it has turned around and has made improvements! (Also, you will have to pay for parking though, but there is a good bus service running at Queens Hospital though.)

Visited A&E on several occasions, all 3 times even after providing all the symptoms of acid reflux I was mis-diagnosed. I have acid reflux, a 5cm Hiatus Hernia and this had affected my throat, which I do not even to this day know the damage it has done (still waiting for a consultant). I was initially told I cut my stomach, take omeprazole for a week and you’ll be fine, 2nd time I was told I had a scratchy throat and third time I was told take omeprazole for 4 weeks and everything will be fine. What you should have done is realise that I had acid reflux and referred me for an endoscopy instead I was left to own devices. NHS feels more like a state pension, you only need it your dieing, otherwise take out a personal pension to cover yourself, you pay for it, they will be more interested to tell you whats at fault and fix you up, money talks.

I arrived around 2:30am, Monday morning with a burst capillary, no-one was waiting, I was apparently next inline to be seen, over an hour later I was seen by a doctor who's English was not quite clear as I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. I was given a check-up, they tied a bolster dressing in front of my nose, and for some reason took a blood test which is unusual from past experiences of nosebleeds. I was then directed to asked to go to the Urgent Care Centre only to be asked to return to the Emergency Department waiting area because they weren't taking anymore patients. The waiting area was cold and the seating is not at all comfortable for long waits. There are are a few vending machines but they were barely stocked. The coffee machine was broken, so couldn't even keep warm with a drink. After an hour and a half of waiting, I asked reception for an update and was advised that I had been referred to the ENT Department (as expected) and was asked to wait for someone to collect me. Half an hour later, a doctor came out to tell me the same thing. 45 minutes later, a doctor from the ENT department collected me. This was by far the most painful experience I have had with having my nose cauterised. I felt the docor was way too heavy handed, I had to tell him to stop a few times. I was given some general advice and cream to help the wound heal, then sent on my way, this was some time past 7am. I hope I don't have to visit any time soon becasue that was a dreadful experience, although I am very grateful to the doctors who helped to fix my nosebleed.

Avoid this place like the plague. This place epitomizes what the NHS has become under the Tories . 5-6 hour waits, with doctors that could not careless. Made the mistake of going there once, after that experience i am willing to travel half way across the world to see a doctor then set foot in this establishment ever again. It will Surely be a better experience. Im still seething at the thought my taxes go towards this sorry mess they call a hospital.

Awful hospital terriable communication between staff. My wife went in to have her baby I went out of the room for a drink while her sister stayed with they moved her to labour ward so on my return I went to labour ward to be told no one by that name was there and I was to leave, a midwife moved her without telling anyone so hername was not on the labour ward system I went back a 2nd time and said my wife is here and they just broke her waters a rude nurse or operations manager said I dont know who you are your not coming in any way took me 2 hours to get into my just to just catch my daughter being born. The following day we was discharched with baby eveything is fine and it was cold and raining, got home an hour later got a call why did you go home you have to come bk baby not been checked and refused a home visit so went back to hospital to be told the wrong communication was given I told them its raining out to be told we dont know what weather is like we are in here. My wife was bleeding and her drip was tangled so I called a senior midwife to be told 2 people are before us and return to our ward 20 mins later we get visit wife distressed and we was again reminded two people where before you we are busy!! Disgusting and when we checked out with baby nurse at desk was taking her own temperature didnt look at us and didnt even know we had a baby she just buzzed door and let us out. * Rude staff *bad communication *Almost missed daughters birth *anyone could leave with a baby without being checked *some staff need retraining Avoid having your baby here!!

My wife has a variety of medical conditions that require regular monitoring and as such we have had cause to visit many of the hospitals in Glasgow. I can state with absolute certainty that this was the worst. First, we couldn't find where we needed to be and the staff were no help. One directed us to one end of the hospital, while another directed us to the other end. Turns out, the second staff member was closest, but it still took us forty-five minutes to find the right place. Second, despite telling the staff that my wife was not comfortable going in to see the doctor alone and advising them that I am her full time carer, I was forbidden from accompanying her in to see the doctor. Once inside she was asked to change into a gown. There was no screen to change behind and while she was in the middle of undressing the doctor got up, walked out and left the door wide open. My wife was forced to dash behind the door as two other patients walked past. Third, after the appointment we went to the cashier's office to claim our travel expenses, as we have at every other hospital in Glasgow. There we were told that they do not pay travel expenses, but they could provide us with a form we could complete and send off. However, before they would give us a form the cashier insisted on asking my wife a series of questions regarding her appointment, including information that no one other than a doctor needs to know. When I challenged them, the cashier called for security and had me escorted outside so she could continue grilling my wife and ridiculing her when she was uncomfortable with the questions. In the end my wife came out in tears and told me that the cashier had refused to hand over a form. I tried to go back in to get the form, but the cashier called security again and we were escorted out of the hospital. Upon complaining, we were told that it never happened and the cashier insisted we were given a form. I will never set foot in the hospital again. If I'm struck by a car on their doorstep, I will insisted upon being taken elsewhere. An appalling place staffed by appalling, uncaring people.

My mother went in on Sunday 2April in an ambulance because she was a bit confused. The Carer saw her off. Unfortunately all family members were out of the country. She always wore a long gold chain with several gold medallions on it that belonged to my grandmother and a gold Christopher I had given my late father. These were very precious to her and she loved them dearly. My mother is 94 years old. The next day she told my son on the phone that someone had stolen them. Now the chain was long and not that visible it hung under clothing. It would only be visible to someone who might have intimate contact with her clothing. My mother was treated for a urinary infection. However she has been greatly upset by this. She is now being described as being paranoid. No one apparently has seen any gold chain in any of the departments she was in ie. x-ray, A&E or ward 50. I put in a complaint but all they did was ask for our names addresses and say they will put us in contact with the right departments! Meantime my mother is distraught and may not recover being so fragile and elderly. The Carer assures me she was wearing it. She always wore it and now at her most vulnerable in a supposedly helpful and caring environment her most precious possession is stolen from her and nobody is bothered. It would appear that the Royal Infirmary is not a safe place for confused elderly patients. The whole family is so upset, disillusioned and angry.

6 hour wait for my friend to be taken to a ward after blood sugars were off the scale at 37, electrolytes were everywhere. When got a ward was hardly settled when taken to the old medical block ward 3 diabetes ward. Staff in this ward were absolutely disgraceful missing all the warning signs that something serious was wrong. After continuous seizures for over a day my friend took a stroke right in front of them and only then was she rushed to ICU and put on ventilator and medical induced coma. After day and half moved to acute stroke unit. Little better now due to the Nurses in last two wards . (Godsent) Being moved tonight to stroke ward 17 but still still taking seizures.

Please NHS patients do not come to this clinic, if you are being referred by your doctor research your stuff before hand and go to another clinic. The doctors here are very condescending, patronising, unhelpful and honestly the list could just go on and on. The nurse and reception team take a very long time to get back to you, their lines just ring out for about 20-30 mins with no answer at the end. You leave messages and they never get back to you. Dr White specifically who does ovulation induction is not a nice lady, she told me my husband and I to go else where for our next IVF treatment, she is not compassionate and doesn't care about what her patients need to achieve a pregnancy. Please don't waste your time, energy at this clinic which is supposedly meant to a top clinic in London unfortunately from our experience we had a awful time at this clinic. They only care about patients with money. Save yourself from heart ache go else where.

Went in for a physio appointment. I was late for it, so I had to wait a couple of hours to be seen which was understandable. However, when I was seen, I only got five minutes the physio who seemed very stressed and rushed in general. The place did seem like a conveyer belt. Only one of the two things my doctor referred me for had been addressed, and despite my neck and shoulder being in pain for a few weeks, I was effectively told there was nothing wrong and to hold my arm in a certain position. Two months later there is still some tension and pain.

The waiting time wasn't too bad and most importantly issue was solved. I am really happy with my experience there.

Cracked tooth problem not helpful at all. Attended Endodontic department for help with diagnosing extreme radiating jaw pain face pain bad taste and sinus problems from possible cracked tooth roots on multiple teeth this was supposed to be the best place to go with the most knowledge on the subject but turns out they are not at all. Was told that cracked teeth are hardest thing to diagnose by first consultant. Dental probing showed increases but no pocketing which is indicative of cracked tooth but was disregarded by head consultant. Lingering pain to cold test dismissed by head consultant. Electric Pulp Vitality tested negative when previously tested but not considered by endodontist. Two x-rays were taken but as no infection shown on x ray was dismissed as cracked teeth. Explained a I feel I have multiple cracked teeth but he would not investigate further. Was told that they could do nothing and to take painkillers for pain and feeling unwell. They could not believe that multiple cracked teeth were possible from trauma years ago and that infection would have shown up by now which is not always the case with cracked teeth. No tests for cracked teeth performed e.g bite test, transillumination, microscope, purely looked for infection only or visible crack. Supposed to be the best endodontist in country but has little interest in diagnosing cracked teeth only interested in tooth vitality. Unfortunately this hospital is teaching student dentists its poor methods in this country.

After 3 visits to my own dentist, I had to go into the emergency dental unit as I was still in a lot of pain. I arrived at around 8.15am and there were already a lot of people there - I was number 20! However, they have a huge team of staff/dentists and they were all very organised which meant that people were seen quite quickly. What really impressed me was how polite and kind all the staff were! I was quite blown away by this, actually. Once you get called, you'll have an initial assessment with the dentist and then you'll be sent off for an x-ray. You then bring the result of the x-ray back and then you'll be called again to discuss the x-ray results and possible treatments/solutions... If you've ever had a toothache then you'll know how vital it is to get seen and treated as soon as possible and that's what they do at Guys!! This team are just so excellent and I am really thankful that I live in a country where this kind of service is available. And it's free of charge as well! This is why we must always herald the protection of our NHS - they are simply amazing ♥️

My husband and I have become extremely familiar with this clinic over a number of years and I cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff and the incredible service that they provide. From day one we were welcomed with compassion and kindness, from reception all the way through to the consultants, the standard of care is extremely high and the entire process is made as easy as possible due to the wonderful nature of the staff. Having experienced both baby loss and failed IVF attempts with these people standing beside me, I can tell you without doubt that they genuinely care for their patients and quickly end up feeling like your extended 'fertility family'. I am by no means biased, despite their impressive track record my husband and I have not yet been lucky enough to carry a pregnancy to term, but despite this I would not want to be treated anywhere else.

My fella and me are now the proud parents of a beautiful little girl. We call her our miracle baby. If you are in the same position as we were - years of trying and given the label of unexplained fertility - get yourself to this boss place. They take GP refferal letters and I don't think it matters where you live, anybody can get an assessment. Then if you meet the criteria - weight, not smoking, light drinking - you can get IVF on the NHS. I didn't think you still could after what we read in the papers about rationing and the horror stories on all the chat rooms about private rip off costs. I thought it was a but like trying to get a dentist on the NHS these days, but they definitely do NHS work at the Hewitt. You would think it was private though it's quite posh but the staff are all dead nice and put you at ease. They explain everything in as much detail as you want and nothing is to much trouble for them. I got sent on to the Hewitt in Liverpool because my local hospital is Chester, but they don't have a full fertility service or the right specialists, so all the important work creating the embryos & then putting them in has to happen in Liverpool. I must say it was a bit of a nightmare at Chester and it didn't really feel like they cared it was like a proper conveyor belt. One of the nurses had a right cob on the first time I was there and me fella had to come up with the goods, it nearly put me and him off the whole idea of IVF. If I had my time again I would just ask my GP to send me straight to the experts in Liverpool where they know what they're doing. Anyways, I hope you have success here like we did, the doctor told me the results are about the best in Britain and it continues to get better because they have been doing it for 20 odd years. Not bad on the NHS but I spose that's why we pay a lot of tax. My ma and da haven't been well this last few years and never thought they'd have a grand daughter. It's given them a new lease of life just hope they'll be baby sitting the DD soon!!! We'll be back in next year to use our Frosties to make a brother or sister and then we'll be complete. Not sure if we can get that on the NHS though but they do private to. I hope this helps you. Don't think about it and waste years and worry like we did. Get yourselves seen. Suze

I can't speak highly enough of this place. The staff are wonderful, so caring. My wife and I have now achieved our dreams with a baby due in the summer. The whole process of IVF was daunting at first. We have been through it before at a couple of private units and it frankly felt like they were just in it for the money and weren't interested in us as human beings with fertility problems and the biological clock ticking. They promised the earth and delivered nothing, and there were always surprise hidden extras! But this place is very different. They care about us as people. They're honest about the costs, and they are more reasonable than the other places. The staff explained that the ethos is being part of the NHS, despite being in a unit that is high spec and feels private. The staff are very experienced because they are all NHS through and through, and are part of the well known Liverpool Women's Hospital. Some people are lucky to be able to access this place on the NHS - we couldn't because of the rules that are in place about BMI (not invented by this place I hasten to add but a bunch of pen pushers called commissioning groups) and frankly for a couple of years my wife was comfort eating because of not being able to get pregnant! But I don't begrudge for a minute having spent my hard earned here, and hopefully we'll be back for number 2 next year as we still have embryos in the freezer! Patrick Smith.

Not great clinic I have been with homerton (nhs) for 2 years did 2 cycle first not successful second didn't even get to embryo transfer ( no good enough embryos to freeze) In homerton there is no personal treatment plan one treatment fits all which in my case didn't suit I got both times overstated. When they stimulate me they only done 2 scans and no blood test to see if my estrogen at right level. Waiting list I very long about 8 months. Wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone

Unbelievable care and service. The staff we had the pleasure of dealing with at Jessop Wing well and truly go above and beyond to make your whole experience an unforgettable one and for all the right reasons!! My wife and I both left VERY pleasantly surprised by our whole experience. I genuinely don't think they could've handled my daughters birth any better. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you so much to all involved.

Amazing experience having my first child here. The staff are under a lot of pressure but you wouldn't know it judging by the personnel and warming service you are given. There are times I had to wait a little longer than expected but that is the pressure of an under funded NHS and not a staff issue. I had two midwives for my delivery but all additional help made me feel calm and importantly safe.

Absolutely disgraceful management of patients! Girlfriend got diagnosed with pre-eclampsia 5 days ago and was told that she had to be induced as soon as possible. We was told to go home and wait for a phone call from the labour ward when there was a bed available as she didn't need to have the pessary as she was already 2cm dialated. Everytime we ring the ward to look for availability they say its highly likely its today that she will be induced but we never get a call back. She is obviously petrified as its her first baby, and her blood pressure is 160/100. Absolutely disgraceful.

Couldn't thank the staff enough. Unbelievable care! I had a planned section and the staff were all so helpful. They were a constant reassurance to me as a first time mother. I was at Jessops for 3 days and even now (a year later) I still look back at my time in Jessops and even though I was sleep deprived and in severe pain from the caesarean, my memories are happy ones. A lovely environment to have a baby.

Most of the midwifes were amazing but I was sent home 6 hours after labour and my little boy hadn't pooed at all, turns out he has a rare bowel disease that could have killed him with the neglect of this hospital! Sheffield children's hospital advised me to report jessops but we didn't, too much going on our minds at the time. I just hope this was a one time mistake!

This is the worst hospital I've ever been to! It's also very dirty and the staff is completely incompetent. There were nurses who were sleeping on their shift and they scream up and down the halls even late at night. The doctors don't communicate with the nurses or the patients. They even rushed me out because they were more afraid of people getting additional illnesses in the hospital while they were there. I'm sure that's an issue since the hospital is completely unsanitary. It's the worst patient care and they make up things on your discharge papers so make sure you read them before you leave. Also, you have to pay for everything, even internet use which I've never seen in a hospital. I wouldn't even call this a hospital, it's just a big medical scam. STay Away!!!

The talent of the medical staff in the A&E department at the hospital is very uneven. On arrival, I was offered a cocktail of three types of painkillers. The triage nurse was competent, but the next 'senior' nurse and doctor were like a comedy duo. They made no attempt to properly assess my condition, and just suggested more painkillers. I think their unprofessional approach may reflect a lack of adequate training.

The NHS at its finest but also its most chaotic! Unparalleled care for my wife and first child to the extent they wouldn't let us go and we had to plead to be discharged. My case of appendicitis a different matter though. Entered A&E at 7am and admitted to the ward for next-day operation at 8pm!

Was traveling abroad when my son and I got what we thought was food poisoning. Went to this hospital as the closest to us and had horrible treatment. I couldn't understand the check in person and when I asked her to repeat herself she'd roll her eyes and sigh each time. Then my son got sick while there and no one was helpful. Everyone rude to us during out 4 hour urgent care visit. Worst ever experience with medical professionals. Don't come here for care, pick another facility.

I am an in patient in a renal ward as you read this. I came to Kings in good health, for a simple procedure which they promptly messed up and left me with no dialysis access and a dialysis line cut off and left inside my chest. It was explained to me that this was fine and would cause me no problems. However the next day I was informed I need major chest surgury as this redudundent tube could be life threatening. Have had to have emergency dialysis line inserted to allow dialysis now, which turned out to be only a two hour session, as my blood clotted due to the lack of Heperin put in the system, followed by the nurse refusing ti re-line and restart the machine to complete the four hour session because she was "just helping out from another ward and due to go on her break!" The next session was ment to be two days later, but they forgot about it and I had to complain to a doctor that I was by now a day over due for my dialysis. So stuck here now, Not knowing what's happening as the hospital doesn't have the required doctors to make any decisions. If you have to go to hospital and you're offered a choice, do your self a big favour and choose somewhere else. Unless that is, you enyoy a dirty, chaotic disorganized hospital, where you feel like your in downtown Lagos!

I had to go to King's College Hospital for a sharp pain in my shoulder and the staff members there were extremely nice, professional and caring. I was seen by Dr Khavi who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and really tried to help. He even called later to check if I was doing ok and how I was feeling. I thought that was really kind of him and I was impressed with the service I received.

Healthcare in England is mainly provided by England's public health service, the National Health Service, that provides healthcare to all permanent residents of the United Kingdom that is free at the point of use and paid for from general taxation. Since health is a devolved matter, there are differences with the provisions for healthcare elsewhere in the United Kingdom.[1] Though the public system dominates healthcare provision in England, private health care and a wide variety of alternative and complementary treatments are available for those willing to pay.

If you like to be constantly yelled at by huge Nigerian nurses that’s the place to be. Some, not all nurses have horrible bedside manners and speak english so badly that you are constantly fighting a major language barrier which is frustrating for all. I’m traumatised. Not very good for relaxing and healing. Hygiene in this hospital seems questionable. Doctors and their direct team nurses seem very nice and knowledgeable.

The worst hospital by far. The orthopaedic department is beyond a joke. Staff are useless, lazy and rude. I’ve made a complaint to PALS and they are just as worse. Been waiting nearly 3 weeks for a response to my email. Would not recommend this Hospital at all!!! I’ve made sure that my GP does not refer me there for any specialist appointments.

Literally could not properly diagnose a shattered bone. I went to A&E after tripping over some steel girders propping up a floor of my house and landing with all my weight on one of my toes. I've broken various small bones before, and was pretty sure something was wrong with the toe given it was now jutting out sideways and I couldn't put any weight through my foot (could barely walk on that side). This was late at night, and I was the only person there, so was seen immediately. Initial diagnosis was that it was indeed likely broken, but a doctor then came in and gave it a wiggle while looking at my face. Apparently I did not wince enough, because the diagnosis was revised to it probably just being sprained. X-ray? Nah, they just sent me away suggesting something basic like rest, ice, compression & elevation. Next day everything was swollen and bruised around the toe, and pain had only increased, so I opted for a second opinion: going to the MIU at Queen Mary's. This time they immediately suggested an x-ray, and discovered that the bones in the toe were shattered -- literally -- in a spiral. Not a hairline fracture, bone shards all over the place. Received better advice about splinting it alongside another toe to allow it to properly heal (not much else you can do), and a follow-up appointment to have the progress checked (unfortunately, back at Kingston Hospital). Attended the follow-up some weeks later and was seen by a doctor for all of 5 seconds -- who judged that because I walked in with shoes on it must be fine. Literally. Again, not even a suggestion of an x-ray to see if the bone was healing straight. The toe has now healed permanently crooked and is causing the toe next to it to stick out and rub against the top of my shoes, causing consistent pain in that toe. Do your body a favour and take it somewhere else.

I have gone there recently after breaking my humerus - the initial a&e was fine, nice and friendly and yes it was broken as many other times and they did what exactly I knew would happen and what the case was ( I could of sped up the process by about 3 1/2 hours). But the problem was the help afterwards in outpatients - noisy scary and not friendly for a 14yr old boy ( old lady in wheelchair shouting "help me!" ) Along with the x ray staff who this time were horrible unlike previously a really caring lady. Then I see the doctor who puts me in this curtained off examining area. I hear him and his registar talking about someone else who obviously had a serious problem which scared me not knowing If that was me. Then they start taking about me and the registar comes in not even the proper doctor to talk through everything. Very unprofessional and the doctor was very scary and harsh. Finally we get the follow up letter and it says I broke my arm initially after rugby where as we said that I HAVE BEEN OFF RUGBY. Service was unprofessional and inaccurte and unacceptable compared to the exceptional care I got at Chelsea and Westminster under Mrs Hulme's team.

There's a lot to like. The hospital has been modernised though I could do without the new, noisy way people are asked to go to a specific room for their consultations. And there are some good doctors! Looking nice is one thing but there's room for improvement in several areas. Many waiting list are too long. The downstairs waiting room is draughty and I've had to wait quite a time to be seen, e.g. for an ultrasound. Apparently, in the NHS, I should be grateful I'm seen at all (One comment when I asked for the delay). Later, I saw a locum dermatologist who spoke poor English and referred me me to a hospital I told her was too far away. Then I was reminded of a Urology appointment by SMS, not by letter, and spent 50 minutes on the phone trying to cancel. In the end, I gave up, frustrated and upset. Hopefully PALS has more time to waste than me. Kingston used to be excellent but seems chaotic at the moment. I can't imagine what the person dealing with the Urology appointments was doing with the two people in the queue before me. Reading them War and Peace? NB I used to work at the hospital. I know things can be more efficient and friendly.

Arrived at 7:15 An hour long wait at A&E to be seen, seems the Drs only arrive after 8:30. Once seen by Dr things really quick and efficient. Sent to X-Ray and back to Dr very quickly. Nurse and Drs really friendly and supportive. Just the reception at A&E really not friendly or helpful, when I asked to plug in my phone to charge at a wall socket in the waiting room (as it was about to die and last thing on my mind was waiting for my phone to charge before going to A&E, and sitting there for an hour didn't help) she was very rude and aggressive.

Awful parking system Only 1 of the 4 machines work in the car park, ambiguous payment terms, (you're forced to remember exact times to force overpayment), even when you pay you get hit. Truly a let down from an otherwise good hospital. Whoever made the decision to use ParkingEye deserves the sack.

I went for a review of an injury at the fracture clinic. I arrived very early and settled in for a long wait for my appointment, but in fact I was called 20 minutes before my allocated time. So it's definitely worth arriving early and using the patient check in. I was assessed efficiently and with care by the consultant and given a plastic walking cast instead of the horrible plaster one, which I am really happy with. Making the follow up appointment was simple and straightforward on my way out.

If I could I would given this zero star. I was suffering a serios headache with double visions and very sensitive to light and sound. So my girlfriend decided to call 111 and take me to hopsital, but as I arrived to the hospital I could hear the Nurses talking badly about me. Saying my illness is 'Minor, Here to Claim UK benefit, probably just food poisoning and laughs about it.' It was very disturbing to hear when I'm suffering. So then they put me to wait in the Minor session after, but what happened is, they've put a lot of people ahead of me, the people that was ahead of me was nothing major or anything. But it just seems like they're not welcoming me to be there! It was like that I waited for 6 hours in the hospital, where I suffered 6 more hours in pain where there's nurse chatting around, making jokes loudly. After this 6 awful hours I finally get to see my doctor. It only takes him 5 minute, he only just test my body moments and if I can se how many fingers his holding. Just like that, he gave me a pain killer saying, 'it PROBABLY just an Migraine'. I was very disappointed with this, because he didn't even check if it was anything else, and he wasn't even sure if it was it. He then ask me if I have done any blood test yet. I respond Never and quickly he said o cannot get it done here. And sadly he said 'there's nothing I can do.' He walked out give me papers of 'Headaches' and painkiller. Doctor: 'Take it easy boy'. No thanks. Worst experience ever. Never coming back to this hospital again. I hope the doctors will know that painkiller is not going to cure anything.

So far I was so happy with the orthopedics service. Today however I was extremely disappointed. I broke my elbow and still suffer of constant pain. The consultant (not the head on of the team) completely ignored my complaints. She barely listened to what I said and showed no compassion. I suffer and she decides to discharge me and tells me to wait to see if it settles even though I told her my pain is getting worst. So I have to suck it up and wait two months before they will consider my concerns! I guess they have a quotoa of successes to meet! Will not leave it at that!

What can I say to describe how much I admire and appreciate the work of the Orthopaedic Surgical Team here? I turn up at A&E because I think that my local hospital has missed something with my painful knee. A two hour wait and the team immediately diagnose life-thteatening septic arthritis of the knee, start treatment AT ONCE! Three weeks of highly skilled, professional and thorough medical treatment and some really first class nursing care and I am fit and well enough to start my rehab at home. I am truly, truly blessed by these people!

Professional to the last. The support and care we received was second to none. Our journey was long, but successful twice, what more could we ask? We are grateful for their expertise and we pray that all others who use them have a happy outcome. From the first moments on the phone with Sarah, to counselling, nursing, embryology and of course the unforgettable Dr Ashur, we have been treated with kindness and realism. We were never misled about the challenges. Never given false hope. We were simply given the facts. If you are in the unfortunate position to need their help, they will do all they can to provide it. There are no guarantees and they won't give you any, but our experience is that they will do their best. We wish them and anyone who chooses them blessings on their journey.

We had a fantastic experience which over the course of a number of IVF cycles resulted in two beautiful girls. The process was no more costly than anywhere else and the service and staff were exceptional. We would not hesitate to recommend the clinic.

Great experience, lovely staff. It's a private clinic so, to the previous reviewer, there will be financial considerations!

Awful place. I'm sure that your experience may be better if you're a paying customer, but if you're a donor don't expect a decent experience. I was led to believe that the risks in being a donor were slim, I was never told that because of my age or body weight I was a high risk. I ended up with moderate over-stimulated ovaries and am still suffering the consequences. It was never about financial compensation for me, it was always about helping and so had I been told that I was more at risk because of my age I would have waited until I was 30. I didn't google the risks because everyone knows that you shouldn't google medical things. Foolishly, I trusted them. This was a fault on my part, and it's a mistake I will not make again. I was hospitalised as a result of my donation. I am still not out of the woods. I was supposed to have a check up with the clinic but I rang to cancel as I was very unwell. No one answered so I left a voicemail. To date, no one has returned my call. Before the clinic had my eggs if I left a voicemail my call was returned the same day. Now they have my eggs, they couldn't care less. I've given up on ever hearing from them as they simply do not care. If you are going to donate, I would suggest you at least wait until you're 30 and I would suggest you discuss it with an NHS doctor who will give you all of the facts. Don't trust a private clinic that is going to financially benefit from your donation, because chances are they will play down the risks as they did with me. If anything my experience is confirmation that the NHS should remain as it is, and not become privatised. If it were not for the NHS picking up the pieces of this clinic's failings, I dread to think what might have happened.

Fantastic clinic, friendly staff 5***** service. The staff at the clinic met my every need, I was treated as an individual and at all times was keep well informed about my treatment. I had been with another clinic for almost two years without any joy before deciding to go to Manchester Fertility, and there was no comparison to the care and service given to me by them. I was lucky enough to conceive with Manchester Fertility at the second attempt and now have a beautiful baby daughter. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering IVF treatments - first class x

My 'little' brother is here today because of this wonderful team. He was their first IVF baby...born almost 30 years ago! Great to see that Manchester Fertility have helped so many others over the years after us, lots of happy families and happy babies. Just wonderful! Keep up your amazing and incredible work.

I attended Manchester Fertility as an Egg Sharer. The initial tests commenced in June'16 and I started my cycle at the end of November'16. At the beginning, my partner and I were asked to attend a number of appointments - one of these appointments was a blood test and we were told that it will take 4 weeks to receive the results. We both attended the blood test on the same day. Three weeks later, I received a call from the clinic and I was asked to repeat the blood tests - I was puzzled. I explained that I had already attended a blood test together with my partner, but I never received my results despite my partner receiving his. I asked if my bloods got lost, but I never received an answer. I raised a complaint and spoke to a manager about a number of concerns but she failed to answer my questions regarding the first lot of bloods / first blood test. I had to repeat the blood test, for no valid reason, and then wait 4 weeks for the results. This error has resulted in a 4-5 week delay to my treatment.I have never received any clarification as to why I had to repeat the blood tests! I eventually started my treatment at the end of November 2016. I was happy with the process until the day of the embryo transfer. On the day, I was told to drink 2 pints of water an hour before the transfer which I did. I arrived at the clinic on time, just to find that they were running 30-40 minutes late. I was in a lot of pain from my bladder being too full, I couldn't even sit down. I got called in and the transfer was over in 15 minutes - I felt a bit rushed, I felt like a number and not a valued patient / egg sharer. I also didn't feel confident about the doctor that did the transfer, because I have never met her before. I had a follow up appointment 3 weeks after my failed cycle. I discussed everything with the doctor, however, I felt that I was being pushed into starting another cycle which I got quoted circa £6,000 for. I asked if I could egg share again - considering that my contract stated that I could egg share twice and I was told that it will need to be discussed with the managing director. The doctor had asked me to phone a week later. When I phoned, I was told to wait for a letter, which I have only just received - 6 weeks after my appointment. The letter says that we agreed to go for a full cycle, which is incorrect. I asked for another round of egg sharing as I was previously told that my cycle was like a 'text book' cycle and it couldn't have turned out any better. Also, the recipient had achieved pregnancy so I see no reason for them to deny me from another egg sharing round. They also said that they retrieved more eggs than what they expected and they were all mature and of perfect quality. I am very disappointed with Manchester Fertility and I feel let down - big time. In hindsight, I feel that I was not valued at all, I feel that I was only a number. Reading the websites of other clinics, I see that some clinics state that it is most important for them that the egg sharer achieves pregnancy. Manchester Fertility definitely do not care about the egg sharers as much as they should. Although they advertise for egg sharers at all times, they do not make you feel like you are important to them as an individual. And when you want to be an egg sharer again, they deny you the opportunity to be one. All this goes against the information written in their contract! Also, following the egg collection I was advised that all of my eggs (6) have fertilised. Two weeks later, another member of staff advised me that only 5 of my eggs have fertilised and one didn't. The doctor then advised me that I only had 5 eggs and that they have all fertilised. So my question is - what happened to the sixth egg??? It was confirmed to me that I indeed had 6 eggs, it was also confirmed that they have all fertilised. The story seems to have changed as the time went on, with me ending up with one less egg. I mean, this is a huge deal! That one egg could have made a massive difference!!! After all this, I will not be returning and paying £6K!

Amazing clinic with amazing and friendly staff. Whenever we went we were made to feel like people rather than a statistic. We tried another clinic prior to this and felt like we were a hinderance. We have beautiful 18 month old twin girls thanks to the effort and support of all the staff here at Amelia House. We are considering adding to our brood in the future and cannot wait to go back here. I was so ill after the embryo transfer, but the staff were there every step of the way with support and advice. It was due to my body getting used to the impending pregnancy, nothing at all to do with how i was treated. We cannot thank you all enough xx

Excellent modern place with great exhibits on like the human body and dinosaurs and computers, but it's way overpriced. Education and learning should not be a price gouging exercise in my personal opinion. Just go to either the Hancock museum or the discovery museum, both are free and 5 times bigger. Both within walking distance.

Very good value. We went and it was £19 and that lasted all day. Even if you left the premises for lunch. The dinosaur was the exhibition at this time and it was remarkable. I had great fun at a 40 something as did my 4 year old. The lunch was explainably expensive, but there are alternatives nearby.

Very good, but better for older kids as there's height restrictions on the main ride and most other activities are for over 5s. My boy is 4 and we still enjoyed it
Sun & Moon
Sun & Moon
Bit expensive but worth it if the 3d ride is on. Interesting for kids and adults alike. Makes science fun, sounds like a tag line but it honestly does. Very interactive and immersive displays. Last time I was there there was a weather reporting thing which made you appear on the screen. The planetarium is beautiful. I miss the climbing wall from the games bit but still loads of fun things to do up in the game area. Definitely reccomed a visit if you haven't been, writing this is making me want to go back actually. Good thing about it is, you can go back numerous times as it is always changing and developing. A great place and an asset to Newcastle.

Reasonable, if not stunning, range of science including live chemistry experiments to perform yourself. The café is grim but priced accordingly. Took the kids there because it was raining: glad we did.

Good for kids but not much for adults. Planetarium show was nice but it's only 20 min. There is a 4d movie which is ok but way too short (5 min). We saw everything in less than an hour.

Very interesting, I would even say fascinating, place to visit. Wide range of exhibits and things to do. Only downsides are a) the adult price seeing as it's an exhibition for kids and b) I took my grandchildren during the school today's when it was very busy; this meant waiting to get on most things and kids don't like to wait!
Phil Littlewood
Phil Littlewood
Quite small but very deceptive. Lots of interesting displays and plenty of interactive things to keep the kids happy. The cafe didn't have much choice so that does let it down a bit. But overall, I thought Centre for Life was a great day out and I would go again.

My children are 5 and 3 we have been today for the first time. I knew there were some age restrictions which is why I have left it so long to visit. We have had an amazing time my youngest had a great time playing in the upstairs area while his sister enjoyed the bang crackle and pop event. They were both able to enjoy most of the activities athough there was a height restriction on the 4D ride my eldest is hoping she will grow an extra inch for her next visit. We will wait a little while to visit again to make even more use of the centre. Still a really great day out.

Definitely geared more towards kids, but the exhibits and displays are still informative and interesting for all ages. The main exhibit changes every 6 months of so, so worth keeping an eye so you don't miss out on a great exhibit. Love the ice rink in the winter, too.
George Holmez

The kids always love a visit with interactive exhibits, hands on experiments and science shows. There is a good variety in the changing exhibitions. It is focused towards the younger visitor and a bit more for adults would be good. It is also a bit expensive.

Took 2 children 5 & 7 to see dino exhibition which they enjoyed. Also took their great grandmother there was plenty of room for her wheelchair to follow them around and watch them play. Lots of different areas with various learning opportunities. Only thing is I think it is quite expensive for a family pity they don't have a similar set up to Beamish where you can visit more than once.

Not a lot to do. It's great for kids but it's not good for adults. Expensive for the things you can do which is walk 15 at max. Good thing is that there are interactive stuff for kids which will keep them entertained for a few hours.

My daughter was taken into A & E during the early hours with suspected appendicitis. The A & E staff plus the staff in the ASRU, Wards 7 & 8 were exceptional. One of the best hospitals I have ever visited - well done Ninewells!

A credit to the service....fantastic doctors, nurses & auxiliary staff.... ONE COMPLAINT however, a bad apple if you like, the W H SMITH trolley lady, absolutely miserable individual, she would not go to the bed nor would she lift any items off the trolley, my wife having just had an operation hours earlier had to bend in agony, bringing tear to eye to lift a bottle of juice of the bottom shelf, scandalous....fortunately we took in all she needed so no more interaction with this invidual was required....

Ninewells is dirty germ factory. Staff are exceptionally rude. I had the Nora virus so was very sick. They parked me next to the side rooms in ward 15 then they moved me into a bay with other patients for 2 hrs then moved me to the next bay for for a few more hours just to make sure that as many, already I'll people, were exposed to my virus before putting me in a side room They blatantly ignore patients. Old lady needed assisted feeding, her food sat in front of her for 1hr then was taken away. No one fed her. Another patient was fed by another patient because no members of staff would feed her. Gloves, medical waste lying on the floor. Stains on the floor. Woman shouted for over an hour for a nurse as she didn't have a working buzzer, nor did I. I got up to look for a nurse. Not a single nurse to be found in the ward. Had to go to next ward to find someone. Never will i let anyone take me to this germ factory. Even if my life depended on it.

I have been a patient in this hospital many times and have always had excellent friendly service. They are very thorough and never make you feel like a time waster. They have been fantastic so far with my daughter who is currently in the intensive care unit, sadly. They have done all that they can, so hopefully sooner rather than later this little girl will be able to have cuddles with her parents, grand parents and great grand parents. They helped me a lot too, as I'm staying in one of the rooms so I am not far from my daughter, and every time I need something I just ask and they seem so polite and friendly, willing to help you with anything you need. Especially helping me see my daughter on the first few days, with a wheelchair. They have been brilliant to be honest, I am happy so far with there work. Maybe more hospitals could be a bit more helpful like this one.

After lying in pain on the waiting room floor for 4.5 hours due to lack of seating. I then enquired about how long it would be until I could be examined by a doctor....this was met with a flurry of confusion as the staff tried to log into the computer system. It seemed that no one knew the user name. Eventually I was told it would be at least another 1.5 hours. At this point I was in extreme pain and couldn't face another few hours on the waiting room floor, so I discharged myself. The following morning I went to another hospital. I was immediately took into an emergency gynaecology ward where I was diagnosed within 2 hours and in for emergency surgery that night. I had internal bleeding and had lost 1 litre of blood. The doctors there said if I had waited another day It could of been fatal.

Overall I've had good experiences with this hospital dealing with my health. However I was once assessed by a psychiatric doctor who was totally unsympathetic and condescending. Other than that every other doctor I have seen in this hospital has been lovely. Car park is a nightmare. Arrived over 35 minutes before my appointment, half an hour later I was still in a queue to park my car. Luckily I was able to make a call and was still allowed to have an appointment (over 15 minutes later than arranged). When I was finally let in the car park there were no spaces!!! When I was leaving I foun. an information "coins only" so I had to find some shop to get some change, this information should be displayed when people are entering the car park so you can prepare or go to another one!!! Hospital staff always friendly and helpful. Update. This place is a joke. Appointment 58 min after scheduled time. Prescription can only be used at the pharmacy located at the hospital. Awaiting time 48 minutes. My appointment took around 10-12 minutes but I spent here over 2 hours in total.

I dont think theres enough said about the nurses who tirelessly give it there all looking after a ward of 24 people...my partner was on E15 and I had to stay at her bedside all night one nurse stood out the most, his name was Crue and he was always on hand and nothing was to troubled for him, in addition, there was a inspirational student nurse called Rebecca, worked 37 hours a week, traveled 90 minutes there and back to work, and also had to study to be a qualified nurse..she was fantabulous with my partner, i would of given the nurses five stars...but theres other failings not the nurses, happening within the hospital which only derseve 3 stars.

Having moved from Birmingham, this hospital is far better than my previous one. My hospital appointments are quicker, the building is laid out in an understandable manner. Everytime I have stayed here the nurses have been awesome.

Fantastic staff on EPU and the pre care for surgery , almost let down down by a sarcastic dismissive and insensitive member of staff whose job it was to care for me after surgery, a large lady around 50 years old in ward a23 , the other staff members more than made up for her just a shame she lets the rest of the team down . Doctor Sunday , nurses Fitzgerald, Grinion , Vilma and the other nurses in the ward were amazing . Thank you

Our 3 year journey hasn’t been easy, after a miscarriage in 2012 and a failed IVF cycle in 2013, but with the help of RHG, the missing piece of our jigsaw finally arrived in 2015 in shape of baby Oscar. Without the help, support and expertise of the team at RHG, particularly in the early stages of our pregnancy, we wonder whether we’d have Oscar with us today. We particularly appreciated the short notice appointments and the fact that when we had a concern we were invited in for a scan the same day to put our minds at ease. The expert knowledge of the team coupled with the facilities, which have to be seen to be believed, were very reassuring throughout what is a typically stressful period. We can’t thank Luciano and the team at RHG enough, we will be eternally grateful.

Incredibly blunt communication from consultant after keeping us waiting unnecessarily. Left feeling like he wasn't interested at all and the company's primary aim is to get your money. I definitely do not recommend.

My mum was taken to A&E from her nursing home and then transferred to EMU and then onto Eashing ward where she spent the last few hours of her life. Throughout her journey that day mum and our family were treated with the utmost respect and compassion. I will never forget this visit to the hospital and the care we were all given from the ambulance crew who came back to see how mum was to the A&E staff, EMU staff and Eashing ward staff. A big thank you

I just got off the phone with a nurse from there Emergency Medical Assessment unit. The nurse that I spoke to was very rude and unprofessional. She did not even let me know who I was speaking to and just got off the phone. Terrible experience talking to their staff. Discharge letter from there hospital is also not as detailed, poor hand over from their ward to community care e.g. nursing home. I had to call several times to get information about a certain patient!

Parking dreadful unless you have an early appointment. St. Lukes cancer centre even worse and you have to pay £4 per day ! How awful to exploit cancer suffers. My husbands oncologist was Dr. Essapen and she was horrible. Absolutely no compasion whatsoever. When telling my husband that he had weeks to live her manor was unsympathetic and uncaring. One visit involved her registrar telling my husband that the chemo wasnt working and Dr. Essapen sat on the bed next to her picking at loose threads on the cover and making no eye contact with us at all. We were so shocked at hearing such awful news and yet it looked like Dr. Essapen was bored stiff ! Someone needs to tell her to change her attitude towards her most desperately ill patients. I hope that I will never ever experience having a horrible uncaring doctor as her.

Albury Ward Is outstanding, from the cleaners, HCA, Staff Nurses and not for getting the. Sisters. I believe that the executive should show their faces and also the monitoring of services such as the catering teder, etc which is a major part of people's experiences that is contacted out. In any trust that has a major change in the executives the various role. I will not make comment on the Outpatients department wich. This department is the major let down for the Royal Surrey.

As a hospital, I have no complaints. The car park is another matter - too small, cramped, very expensive and the most crazy, over complicated means of paying I have ever seen. How OAPs manage to negotiate the menus and options I have no idea.
Basil Watkins

The parking is completely inadequate, to the point that you might find yourself in a drive-round loop with several other unfortunates, waiting for someone to vacate. Park anywhere else you can, and catch the bus. Picking up and dropping off at the main entrance is also fraught, as you are not allowed to wait for even under a minute.

Understand the car park instructions before you leave and make sure you know your bay and reg number, or you're in trouble. New £5 or £10 notes? Don't bother. Arrive at LEAST an hour early to find a space. Just called the appointments line to say partner was late and it said "ring back at 330 we're in a meeting". You what? If I run a shop, there is always someone on the till during opening hours. Jokers. This place needs to try and either reduce it's size or increase car parking, or go to Frimley which is a superior experience in every respect (except cycle parking which is woeful).

I was rushed to Royal Surrey County Hospital last night with heavy bleeding. I was 12 weeks pregnant and lost the baby. The paramedics did a fantastic job as well as the staff at the A&E. I needed to have a surgery. The surgical team was also brilliant. I was put into the gastro-intestinal ward after the surgery with people who had totally different problems. I had just lost my beloved and very much waited baby and not one person addressed this. When I cried a doctor came to explain that my womb had been emptied. Without any empathy. I know there is no ward for people like me but at least there should be someone who women like me can talk to about the loss of a baby which is more than just an emptied womb. I feel very upset. This is just not right.

This A&E does NOT specialise in severe injuries and trauma. Their intensive care unit is mostly for patients coming out of surgery, as planned. It is NOT for patients arriving at A&E with severe complications. I learned this upon a visit there, and it was very apparent that the doctors were nervous about the situation. I notice this is a common complaint amongst other reviewers here; of course people will always have appointments go well, but where it matters most, in an emergency situation, there is a marked difference. Comparatively, nearby St. Peter's in Chertsey is much more equipped to handle even the most diverse circumstances, really on par with many central London hospitals. So if you have the choice, go to St. Peter's. It might be a matter of life or death; you need doctors that are ready for anything, not just the day-to-day routine. I really hope that this message reaches out, even if I can save just one life. I learned this after suffering a severe allergic reaction. The doctors could not work out what it was, despite turning to my family. The toxicology department was 'closed' on that day, so there really was nothing they could do. They literally just kept me alive, hoping that I would recover. When I came around, the doctors were almost angry at me for scaring them. A scathing discharge summary was withheld from me due to it being 'confidential' (utter rubbish) and having to sneak a peek at it before it was abruptly taken out of my hands. Any professional will find the CEO incompetent and infuriating to deal with at best. And some advice about NHS complaints: All NHS complaints must be directed through the PALS (patient advice and liaison service), if you did not know. This was set up to minimise the number of people suing the NHS. And they serve their purpose well - without absolutely concrete evidence, in written form or otherwise, they will reject every single one of your complaints and state that they find "no evidence of" it. So if you ever do feel unsatisfied with the service you're receiving, you absolutely must get photographs or audio recordings of it as evidence if it is not self-evident from the paper trail itself. Unaware of this at the time, my complaint into Royal Surrey did not go very far. But nearby St. Peters, Chertsey, cannot be praised enough. Their doctors have far more experience than you would ever expect for a hospital outside London, and they really cannot be praised enough. So please, please, if the choice is between Royal Surrey or St. Peters, opt for that latter. Note: These comments do not extend to the nursing staff. In both hospitals, the nurses are exceptional. Royal Surrey and St. Peters both have some of the best nurses I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by, and they should be credited for that. Most London hospitals cannot compete with this level of service. It's just unfortunate that the intensive care doctors at Royal Surrey lack experience, but this is what you would expect from a hospital where intensive care is almost entirely for treating patients who they have planned to receive after they come out of scheduled surgery. Hospitals receiving patients with severe trauma will inevitably seek out the doctors with more experience, and this is plainly not the case for Royal Surrey. So in an emergency, do not opt for Royal Surrey if you can help it. I hope this information helps at least one person.

I had a great experience when I went there with my grandma for a fibro scan. The nurse Edith from St. Luke’s radiotherapy couldn’t help us more, she walked us to Outpatient 3 department although was not her job. The care you show to your patients is endless. Thank you very much. Great team!

I was admitted through my gastroenterologist, and i have to say the care i received was fantastic. Timing was absolutely outstanding. I didn't have to wait long for the procedure. The rooms, were fantastic. Clean, and i felt very comfortable. I especially have to give my props to the MRI department however. I suffered a moderate form of anaphylaxis after an injection of contrast, and they were very fast, professional, and efficient in regards to treating it straight away. For that i couldn't thank them enough.

After going to Mayday for 18 months, being in a great deal of pain and not being referred for surgery, I requested to see Mr Chitnavis (recommended very kindly by acupuncturist at Artemis clinic). My experience from the initial consultation to post -operative outpatients appt ( and physiotherapy) was impeccable. I was treated very well by all the staff. My greatest moment was waking up after the surgery (discectomy ) and having no more pain. Thank you to all the team who have my quality of life fantastic - I feel like I'm walking on air and have got my life back. From a very grateful patient

I was seeing outpatient, nice and polite staff working there, only bit I don't feel happy about is when I was told by my consultant that i could have my scan done in the same day, but it turned out the doc who normally carry out the scan only work in the morning and I have to come back next day, not efficient. And the location of it can be miss leading as well if you only search the postcode part of its address on google map , it will take you to the back of it where you won't able to get in

Start with the positives, inpatient ward was reasonable, I can't yet comment on the quality of the surgery given I'm not yet fully healed but everyone was extremely pleasant and the whole experience was efficient. However, what completely ruined it was the following outpatient experience. DO NOT visit for outpatient nurse appointments. Incompentence, always running late and some (not all) staff were downright plain rude, acting as though I was an inconvenience. Not something you expect from a (successful) business.

Inexperienced staffs. First time came for consultation the receptionist keep twlling me not to wait in waiting area but go t other ward. Me and my partner went in the ward and no one was there and we had to came back reception and ask again. They couldn't find out where should we wait and where is my doctor. After long time trying got to see the doctor for consultation. Came for second appointment and the staff said couldn't find my appointment, was told to wait for doctor's call but after a week no call was received. I had to ring thes hospital again and make other appointment. I wasn't sure about this time so i rand up to check my appointment before i come and the lady on the phone said the doctor i booked for not working today.

We couldnt have asked for better care for me and my new baby. Nothing was too much trouble for the incredible staff at this hospital. There was plenty of staff to accommodate the amount of ladies on the wards. Every single midwife/nurse/doctor we encountered was friendly, caring, knowledgeable and understanding. They do an incredible job at making sure you and baby have all your needs cared for what ever the time of day or night. I really can not thank the staff of st Mary's for making such an incredible milestone in our life so lovely.

My sister had her baby here a few days into the new year, some of the staff are great but they are mixed in with unprofessional, under trained lazy staff that let the place down. Most of the trainees were off on holiday so they were short staffed!! Which I found to be bizarre, do they not think baby's are born all times of the year? After giving birth post epidural my sister buzzed for near 30 minutes as she needed to relieve herself, a nurse finally came and my sister said I need to use the bathroom, the nurse replied "Well go then?" she said "I can't walk!!" She was still on the bed covered in blood. Do not have your child here, go where the staff are more experienced and more caring about their job.

The most horror birth experience that everyone can have here with such lazy stuff. My sister gave birth there and was late in night and was only one nurse who said to rush a bit...and let her give birth by herself and when baby was out then lift up from chair and said now I will cut ombilical cord and then left....why? Why not instead of these bored staff they hire experienced well trained staff that look well after mother and baby.and then few days after when went back for consultation.....they did not even perform one.just gave her antibiotic...and she us breastfeeding. ..dark ages in this hospital.very bad staff and policy very careless ...I would not recomand to anyone even enter in this so called hospital.
