Ask An Expert: A Live Webinar With Dr Amin Gorgy, Fertility Consultant in London on Sunday, 5th October 2014 at 2:00pm GMT

All of us at Private Pregnancy UK were delighted to announce this much anticipated Webinar on Infertility.

Broadcast live on Sunday, 5th October, renowned Fertility Consultant, Dr Amin Gorgy of The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in London answered pressing questions on the topic of Infertility

The questions covered were as follows:

Sharon from Weybridge asks…
What is Reproductive Immunology?

Louise From Hatfield asks…
What are Natural Killer Cells?

Many of our audience have asked…
What kind of success have you seen with Reproductive Immunology and what is Immune Testing?

Denise from Manchester asks…
Why is there a lot of controversy surrounding the topic of Reproductive Immunology?

Gillian from London asks…
How much of an effect does stress have on a woman’s reproductive health? Can it cause ovulation to stop and what is the best / quickest way to solve the problem?

I am 38 years old and have two children from a previous relationship. One is 18 and one 12. I’ve had one pregnancy since. I was married in June and therefor it’s been a very stressful year.

When should fertility blood tests be taken to get most accurate results? Have had odd results suggesting PCOS but it doesn’t add up or feel right. Please help! Am very confused and down.

Zoe from Chelsea asks…
What advice can you give me – I have had 6 rounds of IVF – with the last round I was on the steroid ‘clexthane’ and had a womb scratch as well I had 11 eggs retrieved during egg retrieval and all fertilised.

I was told my embryos were average and had 2 average early stage blastocyst. Sadly none to freeze. Unfortunately after a 2 week wait I was told I was pregnant, but HCG only went to 15, and then sadly I was not pregnant.

Is there still hope for me? I’m on the verge of giving up. Money is obviously also a concern.

Many of our audience members are asking…
At what point should one consider Egg Donation or Surrogacy?

Sophie from Reading asks…
What is Time Lapse Imaging and does it improve the chances of getting pregnant?

Rachel from London asks…
We have just received results of my husband’s sperm fertility test however it was not explained to us. Can you please explain what is good and bad motility? Also what is good and bad MAR testing?

Sheri asks…
I have chronic PID + Fitz Hugh Curtis Syndrome. I have been given a 4% natural fertility rate, does that mean 4 out of a 100 women with my condition will achieve a birth? What are my realistic chances of achieving a birth? Should I just stop trying and accept that it will never happen to me? Is there anything I can do by myself to improve my chances?

Dr Gorgy also explains more about what can be done if you have experienced IVF failure or a miscarriage.
